I absolutely hate that modern day gladiators have to dehydrate themselves the day before battle, it’s insane, I wish we could fix this part of the sport, we need to do something else than extreme weight cutting, you guys are the most elite athletes and dehydrating yourself right before battle is crazy to me, maybe everyone should fight ten pounds heavier, idk but weight cutting is brutal

This is why when people say the fighter alone does everything, it shows how ignorant they really are. Fact is, in today's highly lucrative elite sports --- where winning and losing are by tiny margins of 1/10 of a lb, to seconds, to millimeters ---- no runner, no swimmer, no tennis player, no football player, no soccer player, no boxer, no MMA fighter, no sprinter, no gymnast... NO ATHLETE.... ever is going to win any major tournament against someone else, if he or she doesn't have a TEAM of coaches, nutritionists, athletic partners, & technical advisors who are as competent and dedicated as what the other elite athletes have, on their side...

I still dont understand why fighters cut weight. Unless its just a few pounds it seems more negative than positive. Like instead of stressing for 2 days before a fight you could just relax and fight at a weight that you can maintain in a healthy way.

good job.. but weight cut is so stupid. everybody just fight at a class above.. and NOT cut weight. i think you should have to weigh no more than +10 lbs.. fight night... from what ya weighed in.. this is so unhealthy.. if everyone shifts to a higher class.. then you're fighting the same opponents.. just at a safe weight.
