What's your go-to tip for new airsofters this year?
@JayMuller287510 ай бұрын
Sorry, I’m drinking and like about to leave my house to drink more 😅 but I just found this channel, I’m 29, was huge into it back in the late 2000s, have a YTchannel (still here) with vids from like 08 and 09 where my balls haven’t dropped and I’m reviewing guns 😂 But I’m getting back to this, just bought the TM AKM GBB and my old Soviet BDUs still fit (I was 6’2 in middle school, never grew again, lmao) and I have a whole list of upgrades for my AKM. Excited because it looks like I can pretty much build that thing into a number of monstrosities. I’m a digital nomad, love working in Japan, in Brazil right now and going to be renting and playing here shortly (first time in 15 years! And in another continent, haha) and then when I get back to the states I’m considering traveling and basing some of my future travels around airsoft. I’ve been trying to talk myself out of this for the past six months, but the pull is too strong and the blowbacks (money, doesn’t help getting laid I’d assume, etc.) aren’t really a thing I’m worried about 😂, so I had to cop. Beyond excited to get back to D.C. in April and see my beauty. Looking forward to playing some games here in Rio soon in the meantime. Saúde, amigo!

My 1st purchase was a a TM MK23 that my buddy sold me for 75 bucks w/ a Black Hawk drop-leg and a set of Tiger Strip camo. Once the team he played with started trusting me, they lent me a TM AK-47. So much fun! Still rock AKs to this day. If I had to do it all over again I wouldn’t change a thing.

@@MaydaysanAirsoft I currently have 3…I normally main my KRYTAC Trident 47, if you can count that one🫠. Still working on my sleeper F2 HPA build. And my Beta Spetsnaz is heavily modified.

Gear tips for begginers : buy a 20$ chicom type 56 chest rig with 5$ kydex inserts that you put on it. For 25$ you have a light weight, simple and fast piece of gear where you can put AK, M4, MP5... Almost every mag :)

A favorite recommendation is to not be afraid of getting shot. I'm new to airsoft and learned that lesson in my first game. Being a woman, wearing no armor and a tank top, with arms covered in bb welts, I try to demonstrate the point.

i was at my first airsoft game last week. we played wavelike game where the defence team gets one respawn and the attack team got unlimided respawns, so it was meant for the attack team would win) i wasint afraid of getting hit. i just got a halfbroken gun(it only had semi) i thought that if i load the mags fast with a speedloader it would go faster, it didint work. so in the last match i ac satdown behind a small tree in the frontline and reload my mags and i didint get hit. in the end i got shot like20 times and hit 1 but it was fun. something to do again. (Sorry for my bad english)

If I had my time again, instead of cycling through a bunch crappy quality aeg's from a whole bunch of different manufacturers, only to end up selling them all and ending up with TM. If I'd have gone strait to my TM M4A1 MWS GBB, 416D NGRS AEG and G17 - cutting out all the other lesser brands. I'd have saved a fortune and had much more reliable airsoft "toys".
@MaydaysanAirsoft10 ай бұрын
Interesting, is a TM Viable in your country?
@DeckerdBR10 ай бұрын
@@MaydaysanAirsoft yes it's very viable and the quality of the TM rifs is worth every penny IMO. I play in the UK, but we have companies like Eagle6 who can pimp up your NGRS to get the power closer to UK 350 fps on a .20 bb limits. Personally I have an m100 spring, a laylax flat hop rubber/nub upgrade, a deans "gold bar" battery mod so I can use non TM 7.4v lipos and some AOE corrections and reshims. I get 270fps (the max limit for .32 is 276 fps) on the .32 bbs, and it's pretty accurate out to 60 meters. It's glorious, and very immersive with the recoil :) I've had it 2 years, played lots of games, never skipped a beat. For the MWS, it really just needs a harder nub so you can hop bb's heavier than a .28 (again I use .32 for the sweet spot between range, accuracy and cost), the nozzle return springs replaced because I use green gas (instead of 144a/duster) and an NPAS (I use the federal concepts NPAS) to help control the Joule creep you get from gas and heavy ammo or on hot weather days. But even during the cold winter months, I've been able to use the MWS no problem. it's a blast. And the new TM Gen 5 G17 MOS is just the chefs kiss, it's hands down the best Airsoft GBB pistol I have ever owned or used. I loved the gen 3, but the 5 is another step up.

@AirsoftGasBlowback10 ай бұрын
@@MaydaysanAirsoft well for me i dont play airsoft personally. I cant personally own firearms for legal reasons so gbbrs are as close as it gets for me so it gets me happy. I see gbbrs like model cars and boats so i go for the 1:1 trades. For 100$ range whiskey i crack open a blue barrowman 25 Years Old Blended Scotch.
