The video suddenly was unable to play once they decided to go on Mayhem Mountain and then eat, as if that were the exact point that KZbin is warning me to get out while the story is still happy in some way.

So this is basically what you would get if someone had their Rollercoaster Tycoon kill-ride made in real life. If only the options in that game allowed for messing with the restraints and multiple tracks like this. Also noticed a LOT of lines getting repeated or stumbled over at roughly 50 minutes in, yet oddly enough there was almost none of that throughout the rest.

Phil Zeo well what kind of developer clears a coaster that has a switch to a second track which is A) easy to find and B) obviously does something because it makes a loud noise through the entire park. Obviously this is a GIANT plot hole in the story because it makes no sense the company didn't find it. But from their perspective they would have no reason to believe the company would be that dumb
@RockyOtter
@RockyOtter 6 жыл бұрын
It could be they did find it, and were told by the same people at the end to never mention it. But it's still weird that they didn't test it themselves. Seriously, a track no one's been told about, in a park that's been abandoned for years, not going to say "You know, wouldn't hurt to test it really"?

This is the saddest creepypasta I’ve ever seen. The author did such a good job of making lovable characters, and I had my fingers crossed for them to live the whole time, just to be let down at the very end. Not a lot of these stories are able to get me so attached to the characters, but this one succeeded. I’ll have to look at more of this author’s work because the level of dread this story filled me with was indescribable. I enjoyed the story still, despite being disappointed and terrified, and your narration helped with that. You can really set the mood of the story with the tone you use, and the slow, soothing way you talk just makes it even more chilling. This video was successful in giving me the creeps. Thank you.

@PungiFungi I hate it when horror stories aren't based in reality. I read one about an ice cream truck that kids die in (which is totally unbelievable, there's no profit to killing customers), or one about a skinwalker (also unreal since monsters don't exist). I mean, personally I expect all fictional horror stories and movies to be 100% real. I was shocked when I found out that all creepypasta stories are totally fake. It was almost too much to handle
@creacherfeacher8232

@@MyXyle666 Eh, I don't necessarily think horror has to be based in reality - I mean, one of my favorite horror films involves people going into the Paris catacombs and winding up in hell - but the extent to which I'm willing to suspend my disbelief depends on what the story's about, you know? Monster stories or stories set in hell? Yeah, sure, whatever. An amusement park with a secret roller coaster track that kills people? Just doesn't make a lot of sense to me, no matter how far I suspend my disbelief.

But you are tricked into a death trap and forced to watch helplessly as your main best friend slips from the ride with fear in his eyes,staring back into yours,as he slams against the rusted metal track. As he stares back at his you with his cold,lifeless eyes laying there dead,as you run his body over knowing you couldn’t have done anything. Then knowing that you friends fell through multi thousand foot hole to their dark,horrible,death. As you,and only you and your sister, walk away alive ,with the guilt of knowing there was nothing you could do after your friend lifelessly stares into your eyes.

That was the idea. The park was built by a billionaire for his son, who was a sick psychopath. It wasn't the rides that were meant to amuse the kid, it was Track B, so he could watch people die in a long, convoluted way every day, from the viewing room described at the end. What's so disturbing is how that could, in theory, happen, with enough money and enough lack of caring.

Whats with all the "paranormal" talk and the engineer was dumb talk. Okay. Obviously the owner was a sadistic rich man that built the "Death Track" and liked hearing the screams of the victims (ride and room was specifically built for acoustics). The man also made a special room with a panoramic view and a single chair for him to sit in and watch as he watched the final survivors get to pick their own death (SAVAGE!!) The massive amount of money that the bank couldnt figure out being transfered to other parties was "Hush Money" for the engineers and inspectors.
@Wandergirl108
@Wandergirl108 5 жыл бұрын
Oh, that's right, I forgot about the money that kept going somewhere weird! That fills in the last plot hole, frankly. Now the only valid point is that the friends didn't bother sending an empty car through…and also that opening Track B caused such a loud noise that no one ever noticed…but those are pretty tiny plot holes, with the rest filled in. And yeah anyone who thinks there's any paranormal element to this pasta is incredibly dumb or has heard too many paranormal pastas to think otherwise.

@@Wandergirl108 It's also possible that when track B was run, a new car would be run in from a separate line onto the main track to make it appear as if it had run properly. @@impyrobot Still possible the engineers didn't ride in the cars when they ran it through. And the engineers did clear the ride. They likely would have said something if the one track hadn't been tested. I'm still with my theory that there were backup cars run into the main track to stop suspicion. They absolutely SHOULD have used some kind of camera to see the whole track run, but you have to have suspension of belief for some of these stories, just a little bit

I listened to this story when it first came out, years ago. I had never listened to it since then yet it has always stuck with me. It has given me a perpetual fear of roller coasters. I come back today to hear it one last time, before I make my way to Six Flags. The way you get so attached to the characters, just to have all but two of them ripped from you at the end of the story, is unlike any other creepypasta iv ever listened to or read. This is truly one of the greatest creepypastas ever written, and I will most likely remember it, time and time again, until the day I have to take my journey down the dreaded, track B.

Creeps is definitely my favorite narrator on any of these spooky story sites- he gets so animated and into the stories, I love it- he also sounds EXACTLY like the narrator of Winnie the Pooh... which makes it a tad creepier still. Other than some weird audio fumbling at the very end, this story was by far the most suspenseful I’ve heard in a really long time. The moral of the story- Charlotte knew not to ride some untested, unknown ride in an old abandoned amusement park. Charlotte is smart. Be like Charlotte.

wait, wait wait wait wait, i have a theory charlotte..? if thats how you spell it, was behind the whole thing. at the start when you realized her 'bully' was her freinds girl, she seemed horrified at first, but then replaced that with a 'sly smile', and the sentence 'fine by me', that seemed overly enthusiastic. she never went on the ride, even though she said she would at the start, proclaiming that it gave her the chills. she somehow new what happened to her brother, and where he was. despite the police having 'no idea' where the other missing children where. in the end, she was 'convinced' to beg her brother to not tell anyone what happened, when, if the news hit the media, the police would have no control over what happened, the rides would be destroyed, and they'd be safe.

Makes me miss Astroworld. It always felt like a death trap, but that was part of the fun. The Cyclone, a wooden coaster that you could feel the lean in the timber’s. Barnstormer, picture a giant swing set and you get strapped into a sling as you get pulled back. The pucker moment was always that first free fall from release. What a rush!

I once went on a roller coaster and almost died. The seat I was in had no seat belt. At the hill at last second, I went down where the feat usually go. It was large enough to fit my (at the time) young kid body. There was a bar in the middle that separated the the area for each seats, so I hung on to that. It was pretty bumpy, but it became very easy to keep living at that point. Eventually the ride ended, and I lived. P.S. 666th comment.

When content creators read stories like this, they're often times one take, in which they sit down and read the story they found... It sounded like Creeps simply started a sentence with the wrong tone of voice and decided to read ahead, and then try for a second time... However, because he's recording, he can't pause his voice for too long, so he most likely messed up those few times for that reason, he simply couldn't read ahead to know how he's supposed to talk.. Sure he reads the stories ahead of time, but you can't remember every line! Some parts of stories are quite hard to read at times, especially out loud when you have to convey the emotions of the characters; just ask any theatre geek!
