We spent the day in Rukungiri district where we addressed our people on Country FM Radio and later on at a rally. I'm grateful to the management of this Radio Station for defying threats from the RDC and going ahead to host us. Was very delighted to receive words of encouragement and positive feedback from the listeners.
There was heavy deployment and intimidation right from morning by the police and military. NRM politicians apparently tried to organize a parallel event in order to try and dissuade the people from coming to our event, but our people still turned up in large numbers. Our message remains one: the forty years of humiliation and oppression can only come to an end when we all rise up and say ENOUGH.
