So cute! My thought for a bit “extra” is I would hold off on gluing down all of the lattice pieces right away, and perhaps weave some greenery, like die cut vines or such, in between a few places first and then glue it down. Thank you for the inspiration and great tutorial!

Love this card - it looks more like a garden trellis to me. I’ll cheat though, I have a trellis cover plate and will use your technique to add the back. Thank you for helping me get an other use for my die!

Awesome idea. I’d put acetate in between the layers if I did not weave for strength, and I’d mitre the corners of the top pieces. Picky I know but my Dad was a finish carpenter…lol

Fun design! As you eyeballed the first diagonal set on your work surface, I imagined you taping the frame down and using the grid lines already there to space and place the strips.

Beautiful card! When doing the first set of 'rails', I use a scrap of the same size for the gap. It doesn't touch the sticky tape because it is in the middle. I just pick it up and move it to the next gap.

For an A2, I think the one made in this video is better. The larger pieces might be better proportioned for a 5 x 7 card maybe?
@gailottow5325 Жыл бұрын
Loved this lattice card. I modified it though. Took card base and front of card piece, attached them together with temp. adhesive and cut both with a die.(but you could use ruler and knife to cut frame) Applied lattice pieces as you did then added it to the card base.
@MaymayMadeIt Жыл бұрын
Funny; I designed this one so you wouldn’t have to use a die or knife. Lol! But, if you have it use it!!!
@donnahurder4665 Жыл бұрын
You could use a rectangle site to cut the center out and use them for straps. That might make the whole squaring up step unnecessary.
@donnahurder4665 Жыл бұрын
* die* not site!!!

Yes, I made this design for crafters that don’t have dies. But of course, that would be even quicker! Thanks!

I made the card just like you, using tear and tape to hold lattice on. My trouble is that the front edge curled up like using glue. What happened and what can I do to straighten it?
@tamthaluehrs Жыл бұрын
Hi, it could be the brand of tape, did you burnish it well? or it could be the weight of the cardstock that you used for the lattice. If you need some more troubleshooting, please email me at tamatha@maymaymadeit.com …thanks
