How this did not climb in the POP charts in USA. Pure injustice. An inquiry got to be opened. Walking on air to quote the producers.

@TremaynePrice Жыл бұрын
Thank you kindly. I've seen pictures of Davide Romani with a P in more recent years, but never with one back then. There was probably chorus on this, this was an old DAW setup though. I think there was chorus and slight compression, but I don't remember what else. Edit: I pulled up the DAW project file for this. There was no chorus or compression...just flanger.

What would you say where I should start to get me understanding better, I already know all the major and minor chords, and know how to watch someone and copy what they play but I know it's much more than that just watching you play
@TremaynePrice7 жыл бұрын
I'd say once you have chords/scales, start kind of loosely playing along with songs you know pretty well...pay a lot of attention to basslines you like. Try to kind of isolate them. And by "loosely," I mean don't start like I did...try improvisation & throwing little fills in here & there. I spent probably 15+ years playing orchestral music on the trumpet before I ever touched a bass, & what it taught me, was it was imperative that I play music EXACTLY as it was written. Which, when I started playing bass, translated into "exactly as it was originally recorded." Don't put yourself in that box. Listen to a LOT of players, PLAY a lot, but don't be stuck on eXACTly what people do on recordings. Once you have a good idea of an original recording...try to find a live performance of the same song. Continue seeing what other people are doing on cover videos. Hell, go listen to people play out/live. Not telling you you have to do all of those things, or trying to dictate. Just what I think would be the most helpful. But most importantly...PLAY, and make sure you have a good sense of tempo/rhythm. Even if you f*** up, don't get discouraged. If you can play well through any key in TIME, you'll likely sound/groove better than people who have fancy "licks" but can't mesh with the drummer...or anyone else.
@rodenyhudson7 жыл бұрын
Did you take lessons, im leaning the bass but on my own, I really don't know where to start with what I should know, I just look at bass players playing music and I copy what I see untill I get and and I use Yougician
@TremaynePrice7 жыл бұрын
rodney hudson I think I took like two lessons at one point, which at least got me to pluck with my fingers instead of my thumb (you can see that b.s. in a couple of my oldest videos). But other than that, I was fortunate enough to have already played other instruments and at least had a general understanding.
