Part 2: Tick-Borne Diseases Other Than Lyme Disease [Hot Topic]

I was bitten in 1991. Doctor refused to test. I had all symptoms, bullseye rash and had been camping the week before. I am now seriously ill. Finally tested for Lyme and it was positive. Four doctors told me to go to Mayo, because I am still testing IgM+ for Lyme and co-infections (3 IgM+ and 5 IgG+ bands) as well as other bacterial and viral infections. I am also immunocompromised. I applied to Mayo, and was told today that my application was rejected because they don’t have any treatment options for me. I haven’t been treated. That seems to be lost on the doctor who reviewed my very through medical history that I submitted. The lack of care for those with Lyme and co-infections is criminal.

This Algorithm unfortunately does not include Tick Borne Relapsing Fever . The soft ticks that usually transmit this disease do not generally attach and so may drop off. Finding a tick on your body only means that you have been in an area with ticks and may have had more than one on you and one may have already bitten and dropped off unnoticed.

Can I get infected with "Treponema Pallidum (Syphilis)" after tick bite, because they are spirochetes as well and very similar to "borrelia burgdorferi"???

I was bitten by a tick last summer - - found it on my back and thought it was some weird, new skin tag. It was likely there for a week or more and I'd washed over the tick without noticing it. I did have a fever a few nights - - the "wake up with a wet pillow" kind, but felt fine during the days. it was identified as a dog/wood tick(not by my GP, but by sending a photo to a Michigan state agency), but I was given a course of antibiotics, but no follow-up. I had some aching of my joints and seem to have developed a bad knee, since then, despite regular exercise (which generally protects knees). It could be coincidence... but I'm suspicious that it's not and upset that as soon as Lyme is ruled out, it became a non-issue to my GP. Where I live (wooded, rural area), we've had an explosion of ticks, but mostly wood/dog ticks. Since it's a rural area, doctors are spread thin, so I and many other patients rely on Family Nurse Practitioners, who don't seem particularly curious - - if there's a simple answer, that's THE answer. It's frustrating and I'll probably never know if my bad knee (I often think it's finally getting better, then it flares up) is linked to the tick bite.

a long history of cramping and diarrhea.plus my husband got bitten and had this disease for a years,However I was able to control both with Imodium until January. I have been in severe pain since middle of January and have lost 20 pounds. The pain has progressively gotten worse. It started as a “bladder infection” pain, but all urinary tests came up negative. I even had a CT and ultrasound done. I then had a colonoscopy and upper endoscopy done which the results are most likely Crohn’s disease but I’m waiting for blood test results to confirm, the Prometheus test was done. However I am still in a lot of pain, I have pressure also, all of it right above my bladder. The pain is as bad as my childbirth labor was. I have had a total hysterectomy, appendectomy, gall bladder removed also. Also, I have this weird sensation of a string pulling through my genitals. That’s the best way to describe it, but it kind of feels like a nerve or tendons being pulled. There is also throbbing in my abdomen and genitals. I have also been to my gynecologist, nothing abnormal shown as I figured with my hysterectomy. I believe I am at least gluten intolerant, but tests show I am on borderline of celiac disease. I have been trying to correlate the pain with something and I noticed as my bladder fills up, the pain increases. But here’s probably the biggest clue, when doing the prep for my colonoscopy, as soon as my bowels were clear, I had no pain, not even when my bladder filled up. I didn’t start hurting again until hours after eating again the following day when my bowels filled up again. Also, I noticed that when I take Imodium for diarrhea I hurt more, probably because the stool is sitting in there instead of going right then. i was then introduced to a chinese herbalist Dr sale bashiru i got the herbs and oil a long with my husband peyronies. just about 3 months past without pains and symptoms and my husband fully cured also.here is my email. chamcheng362@gmail.com

@@samcheng7542 and often doesn't hurt to get a mouth nose or throat swab to see if you have candida Overgrowth. I'm wondering whether the bacteria that enters through the tick bite, might need to be counteracted with some other healthy bacteria is. Candida in the stomach would Hinder this. I got Candida Overgrowth in my oesophagus after a course of antibiotics. The Overgrowth takes over like weeds growing amongst your lawn. Often the right balance of replace probiotic can be like putting new lawn seed down and getting rid of the weeds
