I lived here all my life, and I now HATE NY so much. This is not a place to grow if you are middle class, forget it if you want a house. Now you can't drive or park anywhere. What if you have disabilities? Then don't live here. All your tax monies go to assist everyone but the people actually paying taxes. You will never grow here unless you're making minimum wage and have 10 children and receive some sort of public assistance. Rents are higher than most mortgages, and the apartments are smaller. Everything has a stipulation and as middle class you will never grow, because it's either too much or not enough. I have worked for the city for 18 years. People who do the least are able to do the most here. And, I don't know what city he lives in, but no way is crime down.

@@slapshot68 The stats will vary month to month from precinct to precinct and by type of crime. Officers have flexibility in how they label and report crimes. As is the case with just about any data set, one should interpret city crime stats with a grain of salt.
