Great video! Helped me fix a free dryer I got off marketplace, thrown in with the washer. Since this piece is a fuse, there isn’t a positive and negative- it’s just an open or closed link. Put your multimeter on “continuity” to buzz it or use resistance and make sure the resistance is low (connected). I just shorted out the switch with a jumper and it worked. Now I’ll get the replacement in the mean time.

Thanks for watching. I am glad I was able to save you some $$. I don’t have a multimeter or otherwise I would have used it in the video. Please give the video a thumbs up if you can.

Awesome! I am glad I could help. I extended the life between fuses by turning the temp down to medium instead of high.

Thanks for watching. Dryers these days are mostly junk. Just a service call to fix what I showed will be atleast $250. I hope I was able to help.

Thanks for this video was able to fix it myself. Will say I find it a bad design feature that the heat element still works if this thing trips.

Appliances these days are just poorly designed. If you called a tech out and he fixed the same little part it would cost at lease $250.

lol, my dryer is part of the 15%, it’s the door sensor you talked about at the end of the video. But seriously, thank you for your video it was just what I needed.
