Sad sweet beautiful. Made in an era when people knew how to smile from their heart. In these days of multiple TV channels there should be one that keeps the nostalgia of special classics like this alive to the world! Thankyou for the memories.
@Eleina1951 Жыл бұрын
I don't mean that a channel should show these movies 24/7. I mean that there should be 1 night a week dedicated to showing classic movies like these that were made way back when be they musicals westerns dramas war films crime or other genre. Something to suit every taste!!!!

I loved Maytime and the Song Will You Remember and Jeanette and Nelson, way before I was born, My Mom saw them in Person, when she was a child she said Jeanette was so sweet to her and Beautiful-beyond Words, and Nelson was so Handsome! Greatest Singers on Earth! I will Always Love Them I have the Movie and the Album that I bought for my Sweet Mom which is mine now after she passed in 1989 it makes me cry but I watch it anyway and play the sing in my cell now. I also can sing since I was 4 yrs old and I am blessed to say I can sing this like similar to her. There will never be another! Thank you xoxo 😘♥️♥️♥️♥️

MacIEddy Magic, I subscribed the last time I was here, a few years ago. So thank you now, DEC.2021 for uploading this beautiful clip of one of my favorite movies I own the DVD now. My mother first played Jeanette and Nelson's records for me when I was very young and I later watched their films on the late, late show. I will always treasure Maytime and my memories of the two most glorious songbirds of all time.

I grew up with a Granddaddy who recorded every PBS documentary on old music and musical singers. He passed on a few years ago, but I will always have PBS's "Nelson and Jeanette: America's Singing Sweethearts" hosted by Jane Powell... I never actually saw all of the films it referenced, but I have put 2 collections of their films on my Amazon wish list for my 41st birthday and Christmas... :)

Jeannette MacDonald looks like Loretta young. Nelson eddy sounds like Gordon macrae, all that talent, from the best of times, lovely era.
@eileenelliott62924 жыл бұрын
Celine Johnston Gordon MacRae had a lovely voice but didn’t come close to Nelson Eddy, (or am I just biased?) He certainly didn’t make my toes curl like Nelson did, or should I say, does!

I respectfully disagree. Loretta is a favorite of mine bot she's no Jeanette McDonald and tho Gordon can sing, he's no Nelson Eddy.
