Your pool robot reviews are awesome! I bought this robot after watching this review! Keep them coming!

Glad you like them!

I just ordered this moving on after the booster on my Polaris vacuum died. I did buy an extended warranty on the cheap to get 5 years out of it. If I get that along with no drama cleaning or terrible tangles it'll be a solid buy.

Very cool how you tracked its coverage

I am considering this cleaner and the polaris p825. The polaris is a little more but has a cart and 2 brushes. if you had to choose one, which would you go with? will either of these clean algae? Thanks

Good review. The best thing about robotic cleaners in general is that none of the debris that the cleaners remove goes into your pool's filtration system. I hardly ever backwash my DE filter since buying one of these.

Great point!

Do it actually pickup dirt or does it just spreads it around? I see that it picks up particles but I wanted to know if it picks up the actual dirt?

Great review! I just purchased this exact one…do they come with a cover for storage when it’s not in the water?
@Inyopools3 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, it does not come with a cover. I use a resin deck box to store mine.

Question, would you recommend it for kidney shaped pools or Cloverleaf shaped pools
@Inyopools6 ай бұрын
The Dolphin E20 would be suitable for a kidney-shaped pool as long as the pool's length doesn't exceed 33 feet. As for its suitability for cloverleaf pools, you'd have to try your luck on that one. There's no definitive information regarding its efficacy on uniquely shaped pools.

I had the Dolphin Quantum, similar model. Worked great, but drove me nuts always having to untangle the cord. When it died I bought the Dolphin Advantage Ultra, which has the swivel cord. These machines are very effective at cleaning the pool. I only wish it had a mode to clean the floor only, like the Polaris cleaners. When a motor goes out you cannot replace it. You have to buy the entire motor assembly for $500.

What is the lifespan threshold of a cleaner for you to consider it "solid" product you'd recommend to others? I usually say 3-5 years, but in that time there shouldn't be any major repairs like a motor or power supply/cabling failure.

4:05 I feel so dumb. Our old cleaner had a button to tell it to climb the wall so we could pull it out. I was disappointed this didn’t until I watched your video and realized duh, just pull the cord to bring it to the surface 😂🤦♂️ you saved my dumb a$$ about $500 😂👏💪👍

is there any difference between the explorer E20 and the E20 that's yellow and doesn't have explorer?
@rotfan772 жыл бұрын
Thanks for doing the review on this it’s pretty good and it’s just over 600 bucks, it looks like a pretty good buy.
@Inyopools2 жыл бұрын
No problem! The E20 is really solid model.

The instructions say not to use an extension cord but I may have to for it to reach my entire pool. Is there a reason why I shouldn’t use an extension cord?
@Inyopools6 ай бұрын
It's more of a safety issue. Or it could start raining, or someone could decide to start mowing the lawn - or they could use a thin gauge cord not rated for outdoor use. It will be there for at least a few hours - it's easy to forget it.

@@Inyopools I see. It’s just me so no other people doing anything. I shall see what i can do otherwise it won’t reach without one

Does it clean up algae on the floor also?
@Inyopools3 жыл бұрын
It can brush and vacuum up some of that algae. However, it will not rid the pool of algae. You'll need to shock the pool and get the chlorine level up to 10-20ppm. The algae will turn white once it is dead. The cleaner can then vacuum up all the dead algae.

how is it on the stairs, my hayward cleaner always gets stuck on stair corners/edges
@Inyopools3 жыл бұрын
I've run it three separate cycles so far and it has not got stuck. It has climbed the first step in the shallow end and then backed off. It also climbed up on the sun shelf and then moved off of it easily.

How is this different from the cc?
@Inyopools9 ай бұрын
You would have had to check the pressure gauge when the filter media was somewhat new. You can also go through a thorough backwashing or cartridge acid bath cycle and see if the water pressure resets to a lower PSI for a time.

That noise would drive me nuts
@Inyopools3 жыл бұрын
The only time you hear it outside is when it reaches the tile line. Even then, it's not loud enough to hear inside the house.

Ridiculous that you didn’t go over the most important thing which was the controller and what the hell the buttons means the only reason why I went to watch this I can drop something in the water hit a power button
