Was she pronouncing both 紅茶 and 熱い like there was a drop at [1]? I'm not too sure about 熱い since there is a drop at [2] in 標準語. However, for 紅茶, I'm used to not hearing a drop (since it is 平板 in 標準語) so I knew something sounded off. My perception for where a drop occurs is really bad. For the majority of the time, I can't tell which exact mora it occurs after, even if I try really hard.

The real question is how to survive mentally when you're told 可愛い as a guy. It's so uncomfortable.

Amazing! We need to get her on the anime flashcard grind lol I wonder if she’s familiar with Spaced Repetition Systems? Maybe she can make a dope SRS for iOS/apple devices.

The reason why we can't have nice things on iOS is because there's no side loading imo. So there's little motivation for devs to create free software if you, the creator, then have to pay for sharing it with others. Hopefully the EU can change that.

There is a dope SRS for iOS, it’s called Anki

@@MrKeepItTrill Well I thought you didn't consider Anki for iOS to be a 'dope' SRS because it's paid. I personally haven't used the iOS version at all for that reason.

As a Kansai-ben speaker from Osaka, I can switch to Hyojungo when I want to, but then Hyojungo speakers can usually spot one or two words I say wrong lol

You mean, in terms of the grammar, the pitch accent (Keihan style), overall nuance, or something else?
@icanfly5964

I meant the pitch accent. I can be 95% spot on but I could say a word or two wrong and Tokyo people can catch that. Sometimes vocab too, but not with grammar.

yeah my mum grew up in osaka but her hyojungo is perfect aswell, im half english grew up in england and she always spoke hyojungo to us at home not kansai ben but my grandma has a pretty strong accent so sometimes i accidently say stuff in kansai ben if ive been in japan with them for a while and im not even fluent

Have followed Inoue's channel on and off. But why she stresses herself speaking in Kansai ben? Her parents were from Kinki area (ie. Kansai region) or what? BTW I don't notice her speaking a lot in those "colloquial" Kansai grammar, instead she seems to be stressing the difference in pitch accent (esp. Keihan style intonation) as well as the overall nuance, that's all......
