OPEN SEGMENT WITHOUT GLUING JIG, woodturning

Welcome back to my youtube channel, in this week's video I tried to make an open segment bowl without using a gluing tool, this method is not the best thing to do but I want to try making it without using a gluing tool and the results are really amazing, I hope my video this can be useful

Very beautiful as usual. Love the pattern and look of the bowl. Please be careful of wood dust and not using respirator while turning and or sanding. Some woods very toxic. Would not want anything to happen to prevent you from making beautiful pieces. Thank you again.

Have you tried using a gouge when turning? It's much easier on the wood, cuts faster and leaves a cut surface rather than a scraped surface. Much less ripout. It also makes turning a pleasure rather than a grind.
