I noticed that Uryu's arrow got canceled by the toxic bubble and for other characters he can just pop the bubble to cover them in the mist instead. Plus his move with Nemu and his bankai could mean that Mayuri is really good at dealing with zoners.

@@noman7921 yeah, his special move deleates Uryus normal attack by the looks of it, thats how priotity works. In most fighting games, projectiles have priority systems. Normal projectiles are 1, specials 2 and ultimates and such 3. Uryus normal arrows are probably 1 and Mayuris poison ball 2. It would clash with other projectiles with priority 2 and be deleated by priority 3

Alternate costumes were already confirmed with Chad, but we didn't know how far they were gonna go with it given how minor of a change that was. But this Shinigami outfit for Uryu is really interesting given they could've easily went without it, yet they did.

He fought Mayuri in this outfit so no they couldn't have skipped it if they plan to showcase Uryu vs Mayuri in story mode. I wondered about Chad's Hueco Mundo outfit cause the only person he fought in it was Gaitenbainne who I doubt is gonna be in so his outfit is most likely cause it's shown in story cutscenes.

Uryu's soul society disguise costume has me very hopeful for the amount of costumes in this game. It definitely feels like a costume they could have just skipped if they didn't have the budget/time for but very glad it's here.

He actually fought Mayuri in the disguise costume so I don't think it could have been skipped actually since they are retelling the story of Bleach. I do hope we get costumes that these characters didn't fight in like school uniforms, casual outfits and outfits from the animes openings and endings.

Look at Sparking Zero that game is missing a few costumes only worn once or twice, like End of Z Goku's blue Gi or Buu Saga Tien's outfit

I really got to give props to Bleach ROS the Moveset they give to each character is most of the time pretty accurate/in character to how they fight in the series. A lot of references in just the fighting movement too like DBSZ. I’m sure most saw it, but at the end of his trailer, you can see Mayuri pull out a unique bottle. Most knows that’s the bottle of chemicals that he used against one of the Espada. One last thing. Having his Bankai in the background is a clever idea some might argue they could have just done it like they did Renji. But I think this translate to gameplay better. Especially for the animations. Plus the way Mayuri uses his Bankai is drastically different from Renji. I do hope you can least have a move where it charges into the opponent like we can sometimes see it do in the show.

Regarding the bankai, it's not a DOT effect, it just buffs poison gain so that you can deal that extra damage from the poison gauge more frequently

Have you seen the outfit Uryu wears in the Mayuri Trailer? He wears the Shihakusho from the Soul Society arc, which means this now confirms alternate outfits for characters, as Uryu was not wearing this in his reveal trailer. Additionally, Loon at the footage of the poison bubble, it actually can neutralize some range projectiles, as it neutralises Uryus arrow on the second part of the footage (When they show the orb leaving posion mist behind.)

Seeing how both Shawlong and Edrad were name dropped in Grimmjow's bio I can see them being playable (like why mention them if they aren't in his moveset or playable??). The chances of getting characters like Findorr, Abirama and Ggio is decently high as all 3 have a full set of skills to make into a moveset. Szayelaporro feels like an obvious pick at this point, i dont really see how he wouldnt be playable.

I like how each character has their own, extremely unique playstyle, like Yoruichi with dodging and countering, and now Mayuri with a stall type strategy in which you stay out of the range of your opponent to deal more damage over time. There is definitely a playstyle for everyone here.

Mayuri only relies on his zanpakutō to do finishing moves, he doesn't use it constantly in a fight like Renji or Komamura once they activate and the devs translated that perfectly to the game. I think his spiritual pressure move 1 trigger some attack from his zanpakutō, in his normal state is the shikai, Ashizogi Jizo, and in the evolution his bankai, Konjiki Ashizogi Jizo, performs the move, maybe a poison cloud or a jump with it's blades.

So, something important I noticed is that it sounds like the Poison Gauge itself is not a DoT. Only the bubble mentions "poison damage." I think that means Mayuri is essentially using two "different poisons." One only activates when he hits you and burns the meter, and the other is the DoT.

i wanted to talk about characters that have abilities based on other characters like mayuri useing nemu and nel useing pesche and dondochakka, this gave us 2 big hints about the game, 1. charactera assists will not be a thing in the game and 2. some characters will never be playable in the game but the next question is what other characters will have the special skills to use other characters

Is there anything indicating that the Poison build up actually does damage over time? I know that's how poison works in most video games (but not all; Of the top of my head- Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow), but there's no mention of that in this trailer. I think the Poison just buffs his attacks, and the Bankai passively fills his poison meter. So even after you spend it by doing attacks, it will keep building irrespective of you hitting the bubbles or not.

Just checked the website for his character profile, and I was wrong. his spiritual pressure move 1 is called "meat bomb" and he takes out a bomb from his left hand, wraps it around the opponent's headand then blows them away with a slash. its short range but unlockable. Also realised we also wont get his shikai for his base ultimate either because its the superhuman drug, and his bankai ultimate is when it sprouts blades and charges at his opponent.. so yeah they straight up left his shikai out lmfao

I personally have the theory that Mayuri's poison does decent damage! But it either disappears over time, cannot kill, or if he takes damage it hults the progression. This guess is based off other poison character archetypes like Aki or Uzuki (UNIB2). Sorry for the formating btw!

That was a confusing description, so is the poison damage separate from the poison gauge or do they work together? If mayuri attacks with his Zanpakuto does the DOT from the poison damage run out faster or is the poison gauge a boost that accumulates while the opponent takes poison damage?

Not sure what to think about mayuri's character tbh. Its not bad but the fact that he doesnt use shikai at all bothers me but his bankai bothers me more. maybe mayuri's spiritual pressure move 1 is where he momentarily activates his shikai to temporarily stun/paralyze his opponent. Cos so far we dont see his shikai at all and it would be terrible if they dont include it so its got to be his spiritual pressure move . Regarding his bankai... I for sure thought his bankai would've been more actively engaging in the battle instead of just chilling in the background doing nothing. But I guess you could see it as an upside with it not being a renji bankai clone.. but having it sit there in the distance doing nothing bothers me.

Highly likely that Shunsui will be next week's character reveal. It will be interesting to see how they handle his character.. Seeing as all character's signature and spiritual pressure moves are the same in base and awakening, will his awakening be his shikai or will his awakening be "Irooni"? Because if his base is his sealed Zanpakuto then his signature and spiritual pressure moves wont be his shikai techniques, but if his base is his shikai, then his signiture and spiritual moves can be his shikai techniques such as Bushōgoma, and Kageoni. Then his Awakening could be Irooni where the game emplyes a special feature and players can select which colour they want to damage etc... Tbh I think his awakening will be his Shikai and Kageoni and Irooni will probably be his soul breaking moves but its interesting food for though.

How do you think a character like Ichigo Dangai can be balanced? Isn't he too strong? I only have 2 ideas for his mugetsu: either it's a constant awakened form where he can release the mugetsu at any time or it's an attack that can hit at any time in the match. both options being fatal for Ichigo if he misses

It would have been cool if they implemented the slow down potion into the game, but then I guess it would’ve been a copy and paste of Izuru’s gimmick

was expecting bombs and extendable arm above anything else..instead he is taking a page from Askins. gonna be hard to do his Gift Ball when Mayuri doing pretty much the same. but he has the time perception altering superserum and Jizo blades for ultimate.. wonder what else. not a lot of gadget shown up to the arrancar arc, but plenty in TYBW.
