Awesome! I used to run an old CNC Swiss lathe with live tooling. This is kinda like that machine on STEROIDS! Only, the CNC Swiss was limited to 1/2 OD max bar stock. Well. . . I only said this was "kinda like" that one.

I dont get why you follow the outer contour on the second part when milling the outer. Wouldn't it be quicker to mill them seperately, or is this with mazatrol?
@tansit23448 жыл бұрын
Looks like it was programmed as a full chain, not 3 partial. I'd expect to see a few more approach moves with Mazatrol stock and safety zones.
@hitechshowroomvideos45578 жыл бұрын
Hi Peter, The majority of the program was made using Mazatrol. the timing gear and engraving is ISO. We made one contour on this program. this part was to do customer demonstrations with. we though that to save time programming, one contour would be easier for the trainees. regards The Hi-Tech Team

A CNC machine is only as good as the programmers. Machines do what they are told to do. But before that can ever happen, it all starts out on a cad system. The engineer that's doing the drawing is the programmer

What happened with the u-drill? Did you pre-drilled it? Started to screaming, then cut and there is no swarf at all coming out.
@hitechshowroomvideos45577 жыл бұрын
Hi Robert, We started machining the material with the u-drill for 5mm deep. As the u-drill needs through-coolant to evacuate the chips we turned the coolant on and then redid the u-drill operation for the video and edited accordingly. regards The Hi-Tech Team

Too bad about the U drill. I was looking forward to seeing it make some chips :-)
@hitechshowroomvideos45577 жыл бұрын
Hi jakobv8, If you see our other videos, the U-Drill machines the solid material. The U-Drill in this video needs coolant for chip evacuation.
@okelloraymond21157 жыл бұрын
exactly i think the drill was ready done with a coolant then later for the video they turned the coolant off

@hitechshowroomvideos45578 жыл бұрын

What Software Programing?
@Rasmus6618 жыл бұрын
The engraving might have been made in a CAM program but the rest of the program has probably been made in the mazatrol software on the machine.
@hitechshowroomvideos45578 жыл бұрын
Hi Gustavo, We use Mazatrol to make the program for these basic parts. We made a basic g-code subprogram to do the timing gear. This was made by hand with no CAM. With regards to the engraving. We use a small computer program called DESKENGRAVE. It is a free download and can do line or arc engraving. This free software can only make XY co-ordinates. We use MasterCam, Edgecam, MazaCam or Inventor HSM Cam to do 3-5 axis contours or XC engraving. regards The Hi-Tech Team
