MAZAK INTEGREX i-250H !!

So I got the absolute privilege to watch this ‪@MazakCorporation‬ make this really nice part when I visited the ‪@eCERATIZIT‬ Technical centre in Sheffield.
This was programmed by Adrian Smith from Openmind using Hypermill.
Using all ‪@eCERATIZIT‬ tooling to make such a piece! I’d like to say art !

I always bring my tool into the bore and start the HP coolant before feeing into the cut, also a small dwell on the large machines ensures the coolant is at full pressure before engaging the tool. I cant stand seeing the HP coolant just BLAST the tool changer door and people wonder why they have tool changing hang ups.

I work on an old Mazak 200Y, Mazatrol 640MT controls. The tool holders are different for me than the HSK-63 holders. What are they in this video? The deburring of the barrel and the shape of the claw, how is that programmed, workshop control, or ISO? I need arguments in front of my boss for a new Mazak.

Billet is always stronger than a casting. Castings can also have porosity issues if you get bubbles in the material.
