In my opinion, these guys were just as good as The Time. They had some classic jams. Really talented musicians.

Now that's what I call "better quality sound", partner :-) Sounds like Jesse Johnson (or the members in his band from this period) had a lot to do with this. Especially the synth bass part. This was huge in Atlanta, which is "Cameo Country" for sure.

I am reading a lot of the posts on here, and I agree with you all 110%. I can't even comment on anyone, because you all are so right. For now, all I can say is Thank you Olku56 for sharing this with us. My family still has Mazarati's original Full LP featuring this song, and it is still in great condition. I play this from time to time on our stereo.

I just hope that Prince who also went by the name of Jamie Starr doesn't remove this. I'm finding that a lot of his music that he wrote & produced for other artists seems to disappear from the TUBE because of his fight with the Internet.

P.S. We "NEVER" get rid of our music collections. And with all of this same sounding music out today, (Nothing against New Artists) I am so glad we didn't. And I am also grateful for people on KZbin for sharing what they have so we can continue to enjoy these people who should have gone a whole lot farther in their careers than they did. But in my heart, you all walk away with every AMA, Grammy, Soul Train Award, Billboard Award, MTV Award, and any other Award.

I have this and a boatload of other Minneapolis extended singles that are either REALLY hard to find or not available at all. I hate to admit this but I had a friend put 'em on disc for me. It's GREAT car music..........great on the highway on the way to work but even better late at night on the way to or from whatever;).

great song there had to be a moment in 1986 when Prince just regrets the fact that he did not push and support the acts he had on his Label this track was off the Chain brings back good memories as a musician it always reminds me how far away radio has gotten from playing music that actually has weight height and depth as opposed to all of this call me Mr Flintstone I can make your bed rock? BS

After listening to Mazarati's Players Ball, I had to dust off my turn table and play the entire album. Yes, I still have the album in excellent playing condition as well as a 1992 Pioneer stereo system. Gots to get nostalgic plus find a way to burn the album to CD without buying a USB turntable. The sound just isn't the same: like substituting a new 2013 dodge challenger for a mintcondition original 1971. Just not the same....
