Excellent video, thank you very much! My son put a coin into the CD tray which eventually caused a short circuit! :-D The interior lighting and obviously the radio stopped working but thanks to your step by step instructions I managed to get the coin out and after changing the fuse everything is working again!

Thanks , I need to do this on 2013 Mazda 2 , this is the best video on KZbin of this car ....I have power to the radio ,but no sound , by hitting the daas between the 4 way button an the air vent you could get the sound back , did this many times , now that doesn't work ....

Hey, well you have 2 blocks of cable behind the radio. One for the power, and one for your speakers. It looks like the one for your speakers is faulty. Like it has been unplugged even if it is almost impossible to unplug itself alone.

I have a 2011 mazda demio, not totally sure but seems like exactly the same as this. Once this is removed can you add in a new radio like a pioneer or a JVC one ?

Hi caitlin, the answer is yes and no, once you remove the unit, you will have an empty space. And to put a new radio you will need a new frame. Copy/past the following sentence on google and you will understand. (MAZDA 2 2008 Onwards Car Stereo Radio Double Din Fascia Facia Panel DFP-26-09) with this yes, you will be able to put any new radio. If you give me a condact detail, I can show you all the pictures I did.

Hello Pedro, i am not sure to understand your question. 1) wich year is your car? 2) on the top of the radio it should be the red triangle called warnings, which is important and should not be removed or disconnected. If on the top of the radio you really have the seat belt warning then it could be disconnected if that is not a problem for you. By the way, under each seat of the car ( front seat) there are 2 cables, if you unplug them, you won't have the seat alarm anymore (like I did =)

I have the warning button and a seat belt light, I understand that I can easily disconnect that seat belt light from the frame and that does not affect the operation of the airbag, right? I can even put a small LED to replace that light, right? But I am reassured knowing that it does not affect operation and that I can turn off that light. My car is from 2008. Hello, you lose radio control buttons. You have left wheel control and right wheel control. The left wheel is only connected to the factory radio. So the right wheel controles will still work.

Hello, i don't know about fuse, but if the radio stopped working and does no sign of life it is the power. Behind the radio you have 2 blocks of cable. One for the power, and one for the speakers. You need to investigate the cables who give power to your radio. It might have been unplugged or something else.

Is it a mazda 2? All the lighters usb have 2 wires, linked to a fuse. First check the fuse, then the wires, maybe one wire is not plugged anymore.

@@rhancesk if you are referring to the red triangle bouton light, then you have to unplug it. Swap the radio, then plug it once again. You will also have to unplug another cable which is the command bouton on your wheel. That one is not working anymore with me obviously because it is only compatible with the factory radio and not with after market radios
