How I changed the rear brakes on my 2015 Mazda 3 (Assembled in Mexico). For calipers with the mechanical parking brake, NOT the Electronic Parking Brake (EPB)
Tools needed:
-Car Jack and Stands
-Torque Wrench and 21 mm socket (wheel removal)
-Breaker bar
-14 mm socket / wrench
-Wire brush
-Flat head screwdriver / small pry bar
-Slip head pliers
-Anti-Seize and brake grease
-Zip ties (for holding caliper)
-Disc brake caliper wind back kit (similar to what I used): amzn.to/3pSViGU
Parts (Note that there is a difference between Japanese and Mexican assembled Mazda 3 (at least for this generation 2014-2018).
Parts were purchased from RockAuto.com.
Rear Pads: Raybestos EHT1679H Element 3
Rear Rotors: Raybestos 981500FZN Element 3 Coated (rust area)
Rear Slide Pins: FVP FH14268
Rear Slide Boots: Raybestos H16151
Rear Seal kit (piston dust boot - not shown in video, but mentioned): Raybestos WK3477
