Mazda 3 (2015) Broken Speaker Repair

I want to add an additional info. After I fixed my left door speaker I had a window issue. The control panel lost window control capability. When I checked the connections i realized that the connector was not completely attached. Double check connections before installing the door panel.

Thank you so much. My driver side speaker just started rattling the other week and it's been so annoying. Glad to see it's a relatively simple fix without needing replacement parts. [e]Also for anyone wondering here's the part number for replacement plastic clips "GJ6R-68-ABX"

Yeah just got mine and it’s the same one as this video. 2015 though. Really doesn’t look hard figured I had to replace molding…just kicks suck and vibrate. This will be the first time I remove the inter door panel on a car but I’m actually not worried now.

Thnx, have the exact same problem on my 2014 M3. Pretty good walk-through, though nice cut :) where the white plugs left in the metal door suddenly where back in place in the panel... Wonder (fearfully) how much work to get them out and/or if any were broken?

...and to answer my own question, I just came across another video where the problem was easily (enough) fixed with a couple of flat screwdrivers!

open 1 up and find out. although, these still made sound, just w/added buzzing. no sound could be something entirely different.

Question is- do all of the clips need to be replaced after you remove the panel?

If they break when you remove the panel yes if not they they can be reused

I had to do this with my 2014 Mazda 6 after only a year. Just bought a 2015 Mazda 3, turn on the radio, bpppp bpppp bpppp. Whipping out the epoxy now. 🙄

This is exactly the sound I'm getting from the left front. Excellent tip on how to fix it! I wonder if it would be a good idea to spray the back of the speaker with some kind of sealant to protect it from future weathering? Also, did you end up with any broken fasteners?

Coating can effect sound quality. All fasteners was okay.

Yes it is. The other one also broken and fix it too. But I had to sell my car 6 months ago. I am not a Mazda 3 user any more 😢

use plastic trim removal tools ($15 set at HF or other retailers). start in the corner w/the speaker, then opposite corner, then rear side, then bottom, then above speaker. slow steady pressure. get the large flat tool as close to each pop clip and pry. take your time.
