Mazda 3 Head Unit Installation 2014-2018

Yeah that head unit has the mazda tweaks package installed. There is a factory firmware update that adds it officially and requires the usb module in the center armrest to be swapped for a higher amperage one.

What if your car already has the SIM card and usb set up?

Hey, mate. Is the setup with SIM card from factory stock/OEM or aftermarket? Would still use our SIM tray as that directly connects to our head unit.

If you said in video apologies didn’t watch full 25 min… does it keep factory settings door locks/ walk away locks oem backup camera etc?

Yeah, mate. Head unit retains factory settings.

Hello mate. I need help. My car s is exactly like yours. I got an android unit trying to fit. I checked with the supplier, showed all pics of my car . They sent the shorter wiring harness.GRRR.. My android unit is ever so slightly different from yours. Where can I get the longer wiring harness to the amp. my unit is a cheap Chinese one. My unit is a K4811 with android 14.

Hey, mate. You'll need to check with the supplier so they can provide you with the correct harness.

Just remove the cable clips and move the cable from down near the door to the top for the smaller one to reach to 😅
