Never thought about chucking the second battery behind the seats!

Yeh it’s a good use of dead space and keeps the battery and charger out of the engine bay with all the dust and heat 👍

Just found your channel. Need more of the gas struts and aluminium tailgate bench. Just something you installed yourself?
@TrueNorthAdventures11 ай бұрын
Thanks for joining!! We bought the kit online and installed it ourselves. Try googling “bt50 tailgate gas strut” and you should find a few. Cheers. Stevie

@@TrueNorthAdventures cheers legend. Di you just get the aluminium from a local place cut to size? Or online too?

Nice set up. I assume those drawers run all the way to the back?

Cheers mate! Yeh they are pretty much full depth. They go about 90% of the depth of the tub. Would be best to contact @ARB4x4Accessories for exact dimensions 👍

Nice! Got a BT50 myself and it’s great to see one on KZbin driving the tracks. I want to know how the little brass monkey 9L fridge went for freezer purposes? I’ve been thinking of doing something similar but thought about the kings console fridge.
@TrueNorthAdventures10 ай бұрын
Yeah mate the little 9 litre did pretty well, kept everything frozen. For the price it was good. We only used it for the one trip to make ice and it was a good novelty but not something we would do every trip.
@Anglesandacid10 ай бұрын
@@TrueNorthAdventures Thanks. Glad it worked; I'm a bit like you in that I had a dual-zone for ice cream while we went to K'gari, but it wasn't something I'd use for every trip. At least you can take it out of the car and leave the freezer behind when you don't need it. If you need ice, I saw 'Camping with Mates' on KZbin make cocktails by storing large ice cubes inside a Yeti thermos.

Just wondering how many kms have you have got on the bt and how reliable have you found it. Have you had any problems with it ??

It's been an awesome car mate. Its done a lot of hard kms up north and never skipped a beat.. until a couple of weeks ago when at 100,000kms 6th gear went in the gearbox 😪 Could be due to towing a camper and flogging it around in 6th. Don't think it's a common problem.

Hey Giys, what dash and double din did you go with and do you rate it?

I bought the lot (fascia and stereo) in a kit online from Carbon car systems. DIY install, but they've got some helpful videos on youtube. Its a kenwood unit, and a massive improvement over the stock dash! There's probably fancier ones out there now, but I've been really happy with it. Got a reversing camera now, makes hooking the boat on easy as👌

Cheers and thanks, that is super helpful. Haven't seen a lot of those upgrades to ask questions. Thanks for the time and info. Keep up the awesome work.
