I have a CX-30 evolve, which I bought in Feb and received in March. Love the leather steering wheel, and especially the heads up display. I think it’s great how Mazda had all the safety features you could need in the base model. Just one of the few reasons I picked this over a HR-V and a Qashqai.

The digital display 'fuel gauge' Tom refers to at 4:24 actually isn't a fuel gauge, its a km to empty gauge and will therefore not always scale the same as the fuel gauge in the analogue cluster which represents fuel level. The rear suspension on the AWD models is also a torsion beam design. It seemed to work well enough on rough roads for the the demo model I drove. The AWD model did feel a bit softer in the rear suspension compared to the FWD model so the AWD could be using a different suspension tune.
@chasingcars3 жыл бұрын
Fascinating - though I’m not certain this is the right representation for such a scale.
@AUKronos3 жыл бұрын
Yea it's an estimation of how many Km you can travel depending on the average fuel consumption of the most recent trips you've taken. The KM range will increase if you've spent weeks doing city driving and then go on long highway trips because you'll be consuming less fuel on average since you won't be constantly changing speeds and braking often etc. It isn't an exact representation of how much fuel you have left, (that's what the analog gauge is for) rather a representation of your driving habits that estimates how many kms you can travel til empty
@Darrenraitt3 жыл бұрын
That's seems correct about the fuel reading I think that's how they all work in most later model cars....

I got a CX-30 Touring with the vision package to include some extras, very happy with my purchase. One thing I don’t think you mentioned was the HUD. It’s crystal clear (even with polarised sunnies), tells you everything you want to know and gives you directions when you have navigation on. I agree though that the driver’s centre display is a bit lacking as it doesn’t really tell you anything you can’t already see on the HUD.
