Nice, but I would delete the annoying music and leave your narrative explaining what you were doing. Very disturbing music.

Very good job Igor, but I would not spray solvent into the bottom of the trans for fear of contaminating the new oil. I would spray cleaner on cloth only and wipe gasket area instead.

If you were always this meticulous and I were in your area, I wouldn't take my car to anyone but you.

I know I may be lazy. But since its "lifetime" fluid I assume the filter is too. So I can do a easy drain and fill like on a older Toyota? I feel like a drain and fill at 60k and a at 100k do fluid and filter.

Wow why doesn't anyone warm up to 50c or 155F and check level? There was some fluid in the filter. Yet another Mazda with a shorter life :( If not using the factory ATF-FZ? At least you could have added some lubeguard additive!

Thanks! Good to know these cars still have a serviceable trans.

Hello, I have a 2014 Mazda CX-5. I have looked for information on changing the oil and the service manual says that the oil is for life. The question is, do I do maintenance or not? Do I change the oil and filter or not?

Great write-up thank you! I noticed the fluid you used is red, may ask what it is? In the US they call for Mazda FZ which is blue. Thanks again 👍

You have to love Mazda for easy unobstructed access for this job. My wife's previous Lexus had a few sides right next to the frame making it a little difficult to do this job. I also see you are using red Idemitsu ATF instead of the Mazda FZ blue. I know it's been said that Indemau makes the blue Mazda FZ fluid but the the exact specs may be a bit different other than the meaningless blue dye. Here in America we have easy access to Valvoline Max Life ATF which says it meets Mazda FZ spec but I'm leary about using it.
@balcopc
very nice job. I feel confident I could do this myself after watching your video. 😀

CX-5 is a great car

Amazing job Igor 💯! From your experience, how reliable is automatic transmission on Mazda CX-5, of course with good maintenance? In another words, if you have to choose between manual and automatic transmission, which one would you take? 😊 Keep it up with great work!

Perfect 🎉

Did you do a level check or just replace what you drained? I do a level check at proper temp, 122* F as I recall.

The 2020 CX-30's (2.5 L AWD) front differential, has a major problem. The fill plug has a metal bracket that partially covers it. You cannot remove the plug as it is. Could you make a video that would show how to move the differential enough that drivers could do a fluid change? Mazda fixed the problem on the 2021 and newer CX-30's. Maybe it would be possible to swap a older bracket with a newer one? So far Mazda has blown me off for any kind of a fix. The dealerships have told me that the differential is "unserviceable". Thanks
