Mazda CX3 Car Play Android Auto retrofit kit installation

This is how I did my Mazda CX3 Car Play and Android Auto kit (KT78-66-9u0c) installation. You can use it as a reference when you do yours.

This is the video to watch. No useless talking... just showing. Two features of this video that are very important is the tape he used to protect the dash from scratches and the clips he unhooked @5:16. Those clips release the housing for the CD and hub units. This drastically simplifies the installation. I watched several videos and this one is by far the best and was crucial in my success in performing the retrofit. My daughter loves her new carplay infotainment system!

Hi great video. do you disconnect the negative on the battery? and which number socket you uses?

It is recommended to disconnect the battery when doing this kind of installation, but too i'm lazy to do it, so need to give extra caution.

Does this might affect the A/C? I sent my car to the dealership and now i get the feeling that A/C controls (mini wheels) are not really working like they used to, I have to lower the T° a lot more on the wheel options to get the same T° as before on the 1st wheel tempetarure setting.

Yes, I update my firmware to V 70.00.100 before install the HUB unit.

is there any adapter with the connector - (brown or black) we can see at 8.40 - to usb male or female? i can't find any (just the oppisite, that it's useless to me)
