They’re not easy, a special concoction of extensions and swivels and flexible fingers.

i just did the install today on my o4 and it sucked getting the lower nuts. i used extensions and removed the passenger side wheel and did most of the work from the wheel well area. My hands hurt . I also had to trim the corner of the intake.. What a pain in the azzz..... Glad its done.

I also have a duel throttle body set up supercharger. I'm curious as to where you guys bought your second throttle cables from? Im having a hard time find ping suitable ones to have as spares.

Thanks for sharing this video for the Skunk install. Question for yoiu. Cannot find any instructions on how to remove the Charcoal canister and accessories for NB Miata. Is there anything special one needs to do here? I am still running factory ECU. Thanks for your help. Bumping this comment. What did you do with the Evap line after removing the Cannister, Solenoid, etc.

In general, plug everything off and tune the computer to ignore EVAP

working on a friends 02 Mazda Miata, someone else installed the Skunk2 intake, Did not install the catch can or block of the egr valve from the exhaust manifold. Which catch can did you use? Did you just cap off the egr valve where you unbolted from the exhaust manifold?

What did you do with the barb fitting on the valve cover? shouldn't a hose run from that to the intake?

Shane Thurston, The passenger side of the valve cover has the pcv valve and goes through a catch can and then back to a vacuum source. The driver side valve cover fitting goes to a neutral pressure, clean air source such as right after the air filter before the throttle body.

Make sure you’re not missing any hardwares and give a gentle pry. Might just have some sealant or something holding it together if you’re sure you have all the hardware out.

It’s hard to say what the intake alone made since I change a lot at the same time. Definitely has better flow characteristics than the stock manifold

Fandi Xiao the NB fuel rail works but the na8 requires an aftermarket one

You guys realize the egr isn’t just for emissions it’s also to reduce heat in the combustion chambers. All you I see on here deleting your EGRs are making a mistake especially if you plan on actually tracking the car where it WILL be hot

Yes but it replaces oxygen rich air with exhaust. I am willing to take the risk of higher exhuast temps for more power.

Konstantinos F. The car ran fine after it was installed but we upgraded more than just the intake so we eventually had the car retuned. I was already on a stand-alone as well. The factory computer might have issues because you end up getting rid of EGR and a few other things in the process.

@@angevaaremotorsports779 I have an mk1 with 1.8 non vvt with deleted egr standalone and k&n intake. I'm searching for a full exhaust. Did you saw difference with skunk2 manifold and throttle body? You believe it's worth for peripherical n/a tuning?

@@konstantinosf.7464 everything I’ve read has shown that there’s not much point unless you’re going stroker/large cam build or for boost. Power gains are minimal for n/a

Arnold905182 the rear 2 yes but the front 2 no. You have the alternator in the way and the combination of subframe and starter and everything makes it very difficult to do anything up there from underneath.
