People underestimate KL power. Nice engine man. Wanting to do the same to my ZE. It's done 371,000 KM's and it's already been rebuilt once. It still runs perfect with heaps of power but would love to do another rebuild, similar to this one. :D

Sorry, but doesn't matter if it's LS MX-6. Mazda released MX-6's in 3 major markets: U.S. (A-Spec), Europe/Aus (E-Spec), and Japan (J-Spec). Only Japan was originally privvy to the KLZE engine. However, now the KLZE can be imported and retrofitted to the KLDE. Mine is a KLDE (A-Spec). It has a big dent in the side and currently has misfire issues. But I LOVE it. I will NEVER be for sale. It just passed U.S. emissions testing with EGR cleaning and new cat

just got my straightneck ze running in my mx6 sounds fricken awesome.

JDM curvedneck is 190 hp , the longneck (kl31 cams) has 198 hp . But that is with Japanese petrol 102 octane . 205 hp was with 95 octane 13,8 a/f ratio and the timing beld was off . So the 205 hp is not bad with this engine .

Just rebuilding my 94 leaving her stock new belts valves, springs, gears and gasp leaving the automatic in flushed and new screens. My wife has a 2007 Speed 6 and living in Vancouver BC there's a traffic light every 10 feet it's a real workout in the Speed 6. The MX6 is used for around town only. I told my daughter the other day I luv my MX6 more than I luv you.

I hear some say the KLDE has a stronger bottom end and using the KLZE intake manifold and heads when running boost but I was curious about that myself I'm getting ready to drop another low mileage DE so I'm looking for opinions or facts of this cause n less than a month I'm going to finally own me a 97 GTS

bad valves is the main problem since the motors seem to blow up when the valves start to go so if the valves squeak a little more than normal your motor wont last

oh yea if it has the slightest tick you are going to have issues its more then likely the HLA hydrolic lifter assembly taking a shit so you will have to replace it asap try to get your self a stock ls this way it comes with the 2.5i klze if you have to rebuild you HLA or get a new one might as well be dumping the money into the good engine ^.^ GL

205 hp (A/F ratio 13,8 at wot ) Have done a lot to the engine and car. (Mazda speed A-spec kit) April 16 we go on the dyno again .

if im not mistaken this is a KLDE a true KLZE doesnt have a flat intake mani or this is a KLZE with a KLDE intake which still wouldnt make sense

KLDE is E-spec but his MX-6 is J-spec i fitted the engine to it because the guy who imported the car before we got it blew the KLZE engine up and the engines are Rare here but this car has had a hard life its had E-spec body panels fitted so my mate will have alot of work to fix her up but the Driveline in this MX-6 makes it shit on the E-spec ones

The Engine might be JDM the car aint easy way to tell is the Japanese drive on the correct side of the road and their cars are RHD this is a LHD so im guessing one of the ones sent to the US my mate has a genuine JDM MX-6 shipped from Japan to Australia has a KLDE engine and is freaking sweat to drive the non JDM ones suck compared to this genuine one

i dont understand how your getting such a low hp when the true jdm klze starts out at 210-220 or so i have read and heard. but i am a proud ford probe owner and have had a hard time finding a lot of the parts im trying to find. the basic are forged internals which come stock you could say on the klze nut then it goes to the intake mani and a higher rated set of cams and crank and the list goes on if you wouldnt mind and could maybe help me with some sites i look on

had the 93mx6 with out the klze and now i have one with the 2.5i v6 and seems that the 2.0 was slightly faster.???.... but im sure our HLA is going and that could be the issue? why its not as fast

The JDM mx6 only has the kfze or the klze engine in it . KLDE is A-spec or E-spec not J-spec . If it is a KLDE than it is a Australia mx6 not a JDM . My mx6 is a E-spec but
