I did things slightly different , well I should say my mechanic did , on the rear we did the cut as Paul described and we drilled 3 holes in the new dust cover , instead of using 3 screws my mechanic put a spot weld where he drilled the 3 holes , they won’t be coming off again in my lifetime .

How is it secured on car by the manufacturer? Is it press fit behind the hub? cant see any bolts on it.

Here's a helpful tip for everyone. Take sand paper or a wire wheel to your rotors hubs. Then paint them with rust oxidizer. They will turn a nice black color and won't rust again.
