Great tip. I wondered why my drivers side window was so scratched.

Thanks for this video. Just done mine, they had plenty of dirt in the seals. Window movement is smoother now. I had some tabs break off on some of the end caps, but they seem to have gone back in place firmly anyway.

Great to hear! Them end caps are quite brittle and sometimes can be a right pain to fit!

Clear and easy to follow step by step instructions. Subbed and looking forward to more content. 😊👍 Btw, what kind of camera are you using? Does it have a landscape video recording format?

Hi Tach, thank you so much for the feedback I really do appreciate it. The video was recorded on my trusty old iPhone 11 that I’ve had for two years lol. No fancy kit just doing things raw lol

Hey buddy just realised who you are, you actually inspired me to get the camera out so thank you for your content and awesome uploads.

a good tip for making a video is its a great idea to have what you are filming in the cameras field of view . . also holding the camera steady makes things watchable . . bloody well near got sea sick

Thanks for the tips! This particular video was one of my first KZbin videos, I now use a tripod when and where possible

Great video; very clear instructions. My window trim rattles a bit when going over rough patches of road. I am about to remove it to see why it isn’t tighter to the door. But before I do, does anyone know what I should be looking for that might cause that?
@jackos5s2 жыл бұрын
How old is your car buddy, and are you sure it’s the trim that’s rattling? It could be your window stops
@damonmuzzy2772 жыл бұрын
It’s a 2007 with 100k miles. I’ve held both the window, and the trim piece, separately, while driving over some rough road, and it does stop when I am pressing down on the trim. Based on your video and some online diagrams, it seems the the NC does not have the middle clips (like the NA and NB). So I am not sure what has come loose that would allow the trim to be raised up (slightly) and allow the trim to rattle.

@@damonmuzzy277 it certainly sounds like the trim piece then👍 you might be better off renewing the full trim and clips. I think (certainly in the UK) that you can only get them from Mazda main dealer. If not, I’m sure someone somewhere will be breaking one up

So I took the trim piece off (thanks again for the demonstration), and I noticed that there were about 8 thin strips of foam attached to the underside of the trim piece. Is that normal? I didn't notice anything like that on yours. I am wondering if a previous owner tried a home remedy to fix the rattling. Or perhaps the foam (or trim piece) needs replaced.

@@damonmuzzy277 My pleasure, I’m thinking the same. That’s definitely a home DIY job, have you managed to source the new clips

Surely By feeding a piece of rag down the gap with some fairy liquid on it. Would. Clean most of it off if you persevere and did it regularly ? , But I must say. It was a good video for those who want perfection,

Oh definitely 100% correct, just wind the windows down and give it a really good clean. It should work for months/years to come 👍👍

Is there a clip in the door near the handle that holds the clip on the end down?
@jackos5s2 жыл бұрын
Hi TCPatten (great new btw) to answer the question, yes sort of! If you can try and pull out the plastic end cap and then slowly left the edge up. Mine took a good few minutes with an ever increasing pressure

When I did it the little triangular piece in the front of the trim broke...
@jackos5s2 жыл бұрын
Oh bummer, it must have been brittle. You can get new ones online 👍 that are very cheap
@marisscholz2 жыл бұрын
@@jackos5s Yeah, already found cheap ones on Ebay.
