Hi Peter , on these and on a lot of Renault and Nissans with the upstream exhaust pressures sensor 1.5dci 1.6 2.0dci this pipe gets blocked - I get a push bike brake cable in a drill and spray brake cleaner down pipe1st and use the drill and cable down pipe and it will clean the soot out - a lot quicker job , and very satisfying when it’s clears . Just done it on are own Quasqui drives beautiful now . Interestingly no fault code even with blocked pipe on mine . Great videos

They can be funny and give no faults for it being semi or fully blocked. I use heat & compressed air lately to clear these pipes. I haven’t ever had much success clearing them on the car before that. I show it in my latest video. Well done though mate 💪💪💪

My daily chariot has the grand total of zero sensors. None. Not one. It's the car equivalent of a Nokia 6310. It has points & a manual choke - for exactly the reasons highlighted in this cartoon. I fix peoples cars, I have no desire to fix my own when I finish work. Great job as always Mr Kennedy. Edit the title btw - 48 ought be 49.

Oooh James, that was very well spotted. I’m barking on everyday about attention to detail, to all the lads in the garage. But I’m impressed with that 👏👏👏👏 What is this chariot, sound great 🤔 Wouldn’t it be nice to be still dealing with that kinda stuff everyday 🙃🙃

@@kennedysgarage3281 Bought a 1987 Renault 9 that has 60k, was garaged from day 1, is rust free, with the 1.4 chain driven (no belt) Volvo derived engine, Peter. Seeing as rust is our business, I gave it the full works, top to bottom. Owner had given up on it as he'd been everywhere trying to get the brakes fixed to no avail - I'm owner No. 2.

@@kennedysgarage3281 Up in Kildare Peter. A fellow Paddy. We do the brake jobs nobody wants to do, so fixing the Ren 9 brakes took about, ohh, 20 minutes, despite no proper parts being available. I kid you not - owner had reciepts from 5 garages that had tried and given up. I despair now & then. The simple hard stuff is becoming a lost art.

Just did the rear shocks on my 16 mazda 3. They were fused to the bottom mounting point. Had to be cut off. Wasn't like that with the 2010 model. Love the show Peter ❤❤❤

That is a very common occurrence on today’s cars. Folk think that they are easy but the reality is because of so much stuff jammed under the bonnet life can be a real challenge. Unfortunately that’s the business we are in 🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️

This exhaust pressure pipe is really common to block & it throws up weird code like airflow & egr, which could lead a lad up the garden path. Cheers Anto 😉😉

another hand vlog peter, see this same fault alot on nissan/renault k9k from 12 onwards... and a pain to sort depending on how blocked and or how handy you are with the drill and some window regulator cable... hahaha...

Compressed air & a handy little blow torch for heating them works wonders too. Always some little tricks to be learnt in this trade Lar 😉👍👍👍

Peter assume the parts not too expensive for a mazda however would you not endorse clearing the pipe with wire or maybe slowly soaking the carbon out.?
@kennedysgarage32816 ай бұрын
Hey Chris, I have struggled clearing these kinda pipes for years. I’ve tried soaking I them but it does take 24 to 48 hours to work. I’ve also tried the windscreen wire, handbrake cable & window regulator cable. But in real life they don’t work if the carbon is hardened. I could pretend it does for camera if I wanted but it really doesn’t without a huge struggle. The pipe is an upgraded one and cost around €80. It just makes life easier. Heat and compressed air is the best way to clear them if ever needed 😉

Your knowlesge and videos are amazing 🚀🚀🚀 I'm hooked on your videos on day one of finding your channel! New fan here who checked out your channel based on a comment from another channel about your incredible work! Do you have any suggestions for an expert in England who's at least half as good as you? The best way to maintain cars is definitely by having them serviced by experts like you.

Thank you very much, that is very kind of you. I’m delighted you enjoy some of my content. I am finding the same, familiarity on certain vehicles just makes them so much easier to maintain. Unfortunately I don’t know anyone that like working on Mazda’s in England or Ireland for that matter. I think they are a great car but every other mechanic hates them 🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️

There is another possible solution, the egr coolers can block on these. It can be quite tricky to get at but relatively easy to remove. Are you a mechanic or just an owner ??
