Does a new sensor have to be coded in... Or just a straight swop out?

I have got few times the SCBS same thing as you can see(only the SCBS and tracking control) is showing and there is no engine light on the dashboard. One thing i noted it only appears if i am doing long drives on motorway like 1hour or more and if i restart the car it goes away. what could be the possible casue any thoughts please?

Having now p24e after dpf clean up and on dash showing check your exhaust system. But from time to time no show up and can be driven all day long then appears again. Strange

Hi Peter could I ask for some help, I know I'm chancing my arm but I follow the channel as to attempt a lot of my own maintenance. I have a crank no start after egr and throttle body removed to be cleaned. 2008 octavia tdi

I own an autel maxisys ms906bt for the last four years but I'm thinking that is time to upgrade my diagnostic and I can't decide between autel and autocom Icon. I like the versatility and all in one concept of autel but I have some concerns with the autel updates (with some updates trough this year I lost some functions on my machine) so I wanted to know which version you have and how happy you are with the capability of the autel. Got an electric car Peter, great yoke. No more oil changes. Although managed to bust a tyre ( drove flat..dont ask why or how) 200e for a Michelin replacement. Yesterday windscreen cracked 1300euro. ( hopefully missus has windscreen cover). MAZDA 3 still going strong. No more bunnyhopping ( turns out i was leaving foot on clutch in second gear) must be seriously sensitive pedal.

Those Mazda steering wheel badges always peel.

Cool vid Peter - day from hell here, lol - wandered out, nothing would start - 3 yokes ready for collection, none would fire up. A lesson to all.. I - tbh - was flustered for a bit. First was a partner that got a new rail sensor - suddenly a crank no start.. second was a disco 3 that had been welded - now a crank no start.. third was a Navara in for engine repair - it did start, now it wouldn't.. Spent the entire day re-fixing the 3.. Partner was a blockage in the fuel tank - took ages to find/sort. Navara was no fuel, lol - busted gauge showing half full.. I was panicking I'd fried the Disco 3 - rang owner, he goes "Ah yeah, it's always an absolute sod to start first thing, does my head in....." Coulda told me, Pal.... Had a proper goo, turned out the engine temp sensor was shagged - they won't start when them are busted, if its cold. Today was cold. Head, melted for no reason.. Fixed that but it would have been nice if the owner mentioned the issue beforehand.. The joys of fixing yokes.. There will be days like that - just not too often, hopefully.

What epoxy you used?

It used to have about 5psi before i removed the filter, once i repalced it and started up, i got 0 oil pressure reading. Also, the engine sounds like it has no oil whatsoever.

Thank you for posting this video. I just replaced the brakes on mine. I disconnected the battery for an extended period of time and when I re-connected the battery, I lost my headlight controls, left/right indicators, emergency flashers, windows, dash lights, interior ambience lights, and hill brake. Now that I see you had the same issues, I am 99% sure I have the same problem.

Also, really appreciated your idea on timing the pump.. TDC by looking at the piston from below.. everything fit nicely once i did that. But unfortunately, i still have 0 oil pressure. Im thinking the pump is bad. 89,000km on the clock

Hey Kenedy, CX5 2.2D.. pulled off the oil pump, chnaged filter, did injector seals, no carbon noticed upthere at all. Nice n clean. The exhaust cam is worn out, but i still have 0 oil pressure after changing the strainer. Any suggestions?

How'd you get on with that rear seal fitting? I notice you kind of glossed over that, it's an utter arse without the JLR tool.

Had one roll in with same fault at 5 today Peter. Fiddly little git of a yoke to swap (Partner) - something to "look forwards to" tmrrw.

I am hoping this video has struck gold for me. I've got a mercedes citan with the same k9k engine and it is running very rough at idle. I checked the same egr values after watching this first time round and they are showing 0 for the egr position and -3.99% for the reference. I am thinking I might have the same issue. I will take the egr valve out at the weekend and see, fingers crossed. Thank you and I hope you've helped me finally find the issue

I did mine a couple of months back. Bought the same timing tool kit as you, and it worked a charm. Quoted €1800 from main stealer, so a timing kit for less than €100 is quiet cheap, even if it's probably a once use only tool. Didn't have the torque multiplier , so used a 3/4 inch bar and a 21 mm socket to remove the front pulley. I have a torque wrench so went with the 70 NM, 300NM, and 90 degrees. Just marked the pulley for the 90 degrees. This was done without a lift. A bit of torture alright, but wasn't the worst job ever. BTW, you don't have to remove the turbo. Just the exhaust will do.

Please help mine is very stiff and is A4 b8 it happend recently after i drove in a heavy rain am in limpopo. What will be the problem and what is your recommendation sir
