It's easy to understand. It is impossible for a giant robot to have an endless supply of energy for the driver to control, just like a battery cannot be over-discharged and recharged untimely. This is my point of view.

It's probably for some kind of accountability, so the people in charge can make sure he's not being reckless or misusing it. This is Great Mazinger after all, if you lost control of it that would be a big problem

The great booster wasnt aproved because it could damage the power plant, the same happens with the rest of the arsenal, he needs aproval so there isnt any risk of using its weapons, since great mazinger armament its way more destructive comparing to the soldier robots

I never seen mazinger proper but from what I have seen I had the impression that the malingers arsenal is so vast that the pilots need the arsenal voice activated so they can keep up with combat instead of needing to manually instigate each weapon in the arsenal.

Sadly no, mazinger z infinity doesn't take into account the events of grendizer, you could argue that unlike both mazinger, once duke fleed goes back to space at the end, there's litteraly no consequences to earth except that alien exists (and im not even sure the general public know for all its worth they might still think it was dr hell)

@@titakristengco yeah, grendizer was actually the first anime I've ever watched (called goldorak in canada where im from), so it'll always have a special place in my heart, but the thing is that in japan, grendizer did not do well at all, and unlike most dubbed anime nowadays, when translating it to French, the language where it really shined, the dubbing studio did not go the "for every 10$ I make, I give you 1$" kind way, they went the" I'll give you 100$ now, but I'm not giving you anything past that that even if i make 10000000$" way, because of this the cash made from the airing of grendizer/ goldorak outside of Japan never registered for the company, because of this, grendizer is often considered the least selling series of the original 3 core series and is often forgotten althought it technically made more money than great mazinger in the short term in term of views and I think in the dvd/vhs selling department it went even higher than all mazinger series in the international sales (where it selled as goldorak)

Ok so I've watched the movie again and even though grendizer isn't in it as we all know, there one particular scene that confirms the event did happen. During the intro when they play mazinger z theme just after this scene, near the end there's a picture of mycanea and althought it seems perfectly normal, we do see the dragonsaurus in it. This particular monster actually served as an enemy in a crossover between great mazinger, getter robo g and grendizer. So this tells us that grendizer did happen

@@cocobill0077 In the Super Robot Wars games (T and 30, to be precise) there are references to Grendizer actually meeting Koji before the story of Infinity: in T, Ryoma (aka the pilot of Shin Getter) threatens to tell Sayaka about a situation concerning a ranch and a certain alien princess if Koji doesn't stop bothering him (he's referring to Maria Grace Fleed, of course) and when in 30 Koji finally builds Mazinkaiser (in its Infinitism form - basically a souped up Mazinkaiser) there are hints of the big brute being a composite of terran and freedian technology, which makes him a Magine (in the game, "Magine" is a term referring to robots that trascend the Mazinger concept, such as Infinity itself, Shin Getter Dragon, GaoGaiGar Final and, of course, Mazinkaiser - basically, units that can warp time and space just by existing; to wit, Mazinkaiser Infinitism was completed fifty years AFTER the end of the game, and the first thing it did was jump fifty years back in time to lend a VERY powerful hand to the team and beat the stuffing out of a newly rebuilt Infinity). Sure, none of this is strictly canon, but it's awesome, and that's what matters.

I have no problem with this. They're villains predominantly anyway, so I don't really care what they are. Plus, Ashura was always like this since they debut in the 70s, way before the whole LGBTQ thing had wide coverage.
