I go to school with my ethnic lunch, and I look at the other kids with their Western lunch, while they look at my ethnic lunch. So we end up exchanging lunches because it’s different from the usual that we’re used to. (Those were the days before food allergies became a thing.)

Damn my brother… attended catholic HS 78-81. Palma in salinas ad we had 2 Iranian kids join us mid semester. I had my own problems at time with mom marring dads coworker, but now in retrospect feel sadness for how they seemed to shunned. I hope they are well, and I’m sorry I was not guided to be welcoming by grownups
