Should have left the original walls, doors including pocket doors, etc. Too much unnecessary open plan space which has robbed this beautiful, charming property of its grandeur, instead it look like a cold but empty shell without any character at all. It's fine having an historical house incorporating 21st Century living appliances and specs, but instead the interior designer has lost all respect for conservation and has no art or imagination to make the modern interior match the exterior of this wonderful Victorian mansion. I'm really sad!

I'm not one to defend these white open space remodels, but I'm thinking there was a massive loss of interior features on at least the main level well before the current remodel. The house was used as a church for 40 years plus, and the front exterior's lower floor facade and porch had been destroyed and had what looked like a backyard shed grafted onto it. I'm guessing the interior as found was an unusable, institutional, 1970s eyesore.
