easy way to look at it is the fact that mbappe currently loses the PR battle with the other superstars, his bdo rivals next year will be haaland and vinicius jr(if he wins the copa america next year) and mbappe is losing the PR batlle with both of them currently unless psg win the cl(not happening), and if he goes to saudi that is one year wasted and also media labels him the money hungry footballer which further plummets his PR so I think he probably rejects the move because their is probably more for mbappe to lose than gain in this transfer.

To all the people saying Mbappe should take the money for a year then sign for Real after, I dont think you guys actually realise how bad this would be for European football - for a Saudi club to be able to come and take arguably the best player in the world in his prime, regardless if its only for a year - we've got to remember the Super League almost happened and this would be one step closer and it'll fuck inflation up even further Then from Mbappe's perspective, yeah the salary is ridiculous but hes already on a ridiculous salary and will end up on a massive salary regardless of if he goes to Saudi or not, his legacy is worth far more than that, imagine removing Messi's 2011/12 season - this isn't about the likes of a decent player like Mitrovic going or a declining star like Benzema, this is about one of the best players in the world going to a league that doesn't have the history or the heritage - this will be another win for the plastics and another huge loss for true football fans

@@micheleduritto I agree, I think some rules should be put in place to make it more fair, but at least when it happened with Serie A, La Liga and the Premier League, the foundation was already there, it was gradual and there was heritage behind it - there's always going to be a league (or select teams) with more pulling power - the thing with the Saudi league is it's fabricated out of nothing, it would be different if they built up the infrastructure and brought in players naturally (not just paying over the odds for the best player in the world) or if a league with actual heritage like the Brazilian league somehow got an influx of money to pull in players - it just feels so wrong that football is going this way, it was already getting bad enough, especially in the Premier League and I say this as a Premier league fan
