I looked it up. This is generally what's it about: The song is from the singers POV. How they never really knew what their mother did for them when growing up, and then later knowing and appreciating how much their mother gave them and not understanding why their mother cried wanting to give her child more. They never could give their mother something in return and gave her hardships by being difficult and now they feel regret that they could never repay her. I bet Luna could really relate to the song and that's part of how she could bring the emotions through the song. Also, I swear I heard her sob a tiny bit at the end. She's so sweet and great and just...I love her and she performed this song beautifully!

***** I hate it when people complain about SM wasting f(x)'s talent or not investing in them. Luna entered SM being a genius dancer. They saw potential in her singing and guided her down that road. SM gave Luna that voice. If not thanks to them, Luna should have been the second Hyoyeon. f(x) one of the best if not the best music color out of all the groups in SM. SM's director of art claimed Pink Tape to be a representative work and let's not forget how f(x)'s stylist is always at least one level above the rest. f(x) was once called to be representing music from the future and it is true that SM tend to give them experimental music since they know they can pull it off. It's not like Luna was invited to this show, SM grabbed a spot and pushes her forward because they know now she is ready for it. Look how much she has improved since musical days of Immortal Song. Luna is only 23 years old, an experienced idol but a very young age to be a singer. But she is definitely guaranteed a career in singing for the long term now thanks to the fandom she gained from being an idol under SM's formula. SM always has the best vocal line tbh and once their idol age ends, people like Taeyeon, Seohyun, Yesung, Kyuhyun, Ryeowook, Jonghyun, Onew, Luna, Chen, Baekhyun, etc will definitely be pushed towards as soloists. There is no way SM will lose the long-term money maker vocal line that they have invested so much in.

Jules Phi You do realize you can't just give someone a voice, right? Maybe they encouraged her towards that, but the rest was all her. If she didn't already have the actual ability to someday sing like that, she could have taken lessons with the most prestigious teachers and they still would have gotten nowhere with her. Don't make it seem as if they bought her that voice or something. If you don't have a voice, you won't ever get it, and in her case, if you don't already have a good stable voice to work with, to get it to be that good, it won't ever be. I feel that as she fel in love with music more, she became more confident in her voice, more stable on her high notes and it became easy to go from a register to another. I'm not saying that she didn't have to work to get where she is, because when you have the talent, if you don't still work to improve yourself it'll go to waste. I'm just saying that she had the foundation already built and she had to work from there...that's it.

Jules Phi Lol f(x)'s stylist was quite crappy at the beginning, did you see what they wear in pinocchio and electric shock? But my point is, many fans and I are pissed at SM because with talents like f(x) they are not given a lot of resources, many people acknowledge this fact, even Jessica (Krystal's sister) said that f(x) deserves more. They have a huge international fan base, great album sales, and yet they don't even have a fandom name (even that rookie group red velvet is getting a fandom name), they never had a solo concert and etc. Because they were the "experiment", SM doesnt care as much, despite their success. That is why we are upset. Regarding to your point, yes perhaps SM opened some doors for Luna, but it was not free dude, don't make it sounds like SM is so nice and stuff, SM GAINS MONEY FROM THESE IDOLS, and THEY GAIN A LOT!!! Plus Luna works extremely hard, she loves music and singing, and has huge passion. Also, Luna maybe casted as a dancer, but her voice was good to begin with, you can't just give someone a voice, voices like this are naturally gifted, she may have worked hard to get better. But she cant be bad to begin with.

They both are considered very well rounded groups with no lacking abilities, yet they are deprived of the continuous nurturing they need from the company still. But in the end, it is these kids that worked the hardest to achieve their dreams and feed their talent and use the best of their abilities. Jonghyun and Luna are both deserving of more.
