I just came here right after watching the vid that eric talks about mamamoo, saying how nervous he was to talk about them and especially solar because they were in this program WGM together. It really is fvcked up that people gets upset to the couples at this kind of shows because it is just for entertainment but koreans really take it seriously. I could just see how nervous and concious he was also in this vid, like the way he whispered "but we are being filmed right now" and "there are cctvs here" to solar because he was so afraid of the backlash that might happen if people knew about the situation they were in. He was also really gritting his teeth real hard that shows he was trying his best to be composed. I love eric so much, most celebs wont have that much self control tbh.

If a man is exhibiting masculine traits for the wrong motives or for the wrong reasons or expressing masculinity in harmful ways, then yeah it’s not healthy. Raising your voice instinctively and showing a temper isn’t being assertive or dominant, it’s being super reactive and aggressive. Not showing your emotions is part of the traditional view of masculinity but that’s unhealthy because the guy feels like he can’t express himself and he ends up repressing his emotions...I could go on and on about toxic masculinity but yes it’s a real concept and yes, not all masculinity is healthy. Masculinity doesn’t have to be toxic, but it can be and the traditional sense definitely is. Masculinity is only healthy when it’s redefined. There’s a difference between being a good man and “being good at being a man.”
