Save Hard Disk Drive space on your Jailbroken PS4 with PkgRipper!

The thing is: when a PS4 game is released to the jailbreak scene, there is a whole team of people testing it out pre-release, and thousand more playing it post-release. There is nothing worse than realizing the game you ripped content from crashes later on in the middle of the game. By that time, you probably archived the pkgripper version of the game and discarded the original release. After my first few successful attempts on smaller games, I did a batch of 10 on my biggest games. Most of them wouldn't boot proper or would crash later on. Unless you find the proper patch, poking around the game file system to save data storage is gonna consume lots of time. I just wouldnt recommend doing it unless you have lots of time in your hand and a tiny hdd on your PC or PS4.

Don't remove any files that are not the language files or duplicate data from updates. Unless you are 100% certain it's an unnecessary language you will never use, don't touch it. I made GOW ragnarok from 110gb to 70gb removing duplicates from the update and removing all languages except english

This kinda reminds me of burning Dreamcast games back in the day having to take out unused data to burn to CD. I am getting a PS4 tomorrow and ready to jump in one of the latest console jailbreak scene, fun times ahead!

Can you make video about like what if the hardisk is suddenly broken and you can't boot or access the old hardisk to copy the hardisk using HDD clone. How to install 9.0 firmware in new hardisk ? But the situation is your PS4 in the safe mode asking you to install 9.03 or up . Why ? Because the 9.0 jailbroken is always asking to update to 9.03 / 9.04 when connected to internet. As you know we have host to disable the update process/download via karo or else My question is : is the main board will ask 9.03/9.04 when this happen ? What should we do ?

I don't know if I see that happening anytime soon. It seems most have opted to buying bigger HDDs. For those that don't want to spend (which is like myself) or have the $ to spend, then this is helpful. I also have an instance where I have a 256GB SSD that this would come helpful in.

Hey MC, Could you please do a video on how to retrieve missing games and apps that have been installed but are still missing in the XMB? I have this issue and although a couple of other KZbinrs have done videos (ES and MW) they haven't updated the info in saying whether or not once the builder has been used and an app or game opened and closed that ALL of the installed apps/games CANNOT be deleted from that point on... I've struggled to find info on the net about this and only older versions with it and persisting non delete issue. Brettus OUT! lol

Can you see them in your library? If yes then try to launch them from there then quit to the xmb it worked for me

@@giovanniraad7928 It rectified itself at some point but a month ago while using the game dump feature from the HB Store I lost that game while trying to dump it (which failed). It was a digital game I bought from the PS store before JB the console and now shows up in the games list for download again... I haven't searched the drive for any trace of it though but I think the game was on my ext storage device (can't confirm now though) which is why it failed.

Wish I knew this BEFORE installing 3 TB (1 internal, 2 external) What format are the games installed in your drive? Still in PKG? Or extracted as a folder? Meaning you could do this process manually? I'm not interested in learning Polish atm. Could you find out how to explore installed games and how to remove language packages? And more important... Will the game still run?
