He was right actually about Still D.R.E. It is a combination of tightly strummed palm muted electric guitar and a piano. Actually main sound that u hear in melody is that guitar that gives that specific "bling bling" punch at the start of every chord, it is mixed louder than a piano so you can hear only the tail of piano. Its crazy how many people dont know what they are listening to

how about the slim shady LP
@zackclark50456 жыл бұрын
Cringe Department Infinite is better.
@zackclark50456 жыл бұрын
b I respect your opinion, however I wasn't impressed with his lyrics in that album as much as I was with infinite. On top of that I get the feeling when I listen to the slim shady LP that he was just getting to know his alter ego slim shady and maybe even still a little bit in the process of inventing it/him. I feel like he was overly focused on getting Slim Shady the notoriety that he wanted out of it, and not enough on what he really thought/felt. While infinite is totally lacking the Slim Shady lyrical vibe, the Shady LP is lacking in pretty much everything else. I guess it just comes down to how important an imaginary psychopath that was made up for the sole purpose of creating controversy to boost his record sales and at some point, respect.

+beatsnextdoor production wise I would say your rite. chronic made him money for better production toys.. It sounds cleaner..But the content ain't better..In my opinion..but I'm 42 and the chronic sounded top notch when it came out.. CD's sounds better than tape's no doubt..
@getoveritlaughing35096 жыл бұрын
+beatsnextdoor if I was stuck in a room and had to have 1 to listen to I would take the chronic and realize that from 92 to 01 that everything was sounding cleaner and technologies changed.. his raps just got weaker..That don't make it better to listen to.. good stereo make bad production sound great too..
@beatsnextdoor6 жыл бұрын
get over it laughing I agree, i think people requested 2001 instead of The Chronic because MBDR liked the Marshall Mathers LP, so production wise i think 2001 is in that same style, rather than Chronic.

Good stuff man. I'm more of a thrash guy and I've been discovering these classics over the past few months as well and they are really good pieces of music. I'm glad I took the time to give them a proper listen. I believe anyone can find some enjoyment in this album and the Marshall Mathers LP and I'm sure there are many more. One may disagree with the content of the lyrics, but you can't deny that it's very well put together and works perfectly.

Fun fact: the song Still D.R.E. featuring Snopp Dogg was all written by Jay-Z, even Snoop's verse. Also, im a Stan and i subscribed after watching one video of yours which was the Marshall Mathers LP album reaction. You should listen to the song 97 Bonnie and Clyde which is the sequel to Kim. Good work, man. Respect.

I would just like to add, I been listening to rap since roughly 1988 when I was 13 and since nwa came out it has mostly been nwa spinoffs like dre cube easy etc. what I like about watching these reaction videos is its like hanging out with someone discovering my favorite music for the first time, and I like how quick you pick up on the shit.
