I was applying for a job at Coldstone Creamery. They made us partner up with someone else and write a song about ice cream. No joke. It wasn't even an interview, it was "an audition." Bite me Coldstone. Ends up, this branch was paying their employees tip wages and then donating the tips

As someone who's currently working at Jimmy John's I super enjoyed learning Travis was a fellow delivery driver. However, I did *not* enjoy listening to this segment just before bed, and suddenly being put wholly in my work headspace by being asked "What's on the Turkey Tom?"

I love Travis and this is no shade on him personally, but man, if this story doesn't exemplify the idea that you could be a mediocre white dude doing your job poorly and still get promoted above someone more qualified.

@@xilitla. i was high when i wrote that so i feel i ought to clarify a little more - legalizing weed is chump change without the expunging of criminal records containing it and the release of people incarcerated for weed possession/distribution crimes. and legalization should come alongside an industrial tamper, to stop companies from completely running small growers off the road, which could lead to a consolidation of farmers not under the umbrella of one big corporate entity, but also to decreased biodiversity and unethical farming practices which is obviously bad for the planet.
@xilitla.3 жыл бұрын
@@candyh4284 absolutely double agreed ! not to mention dismantling the systems that uphold whatever the fuck the War On Drugs is, which just was an excuse to straight up target racial minorities ! and then the resulting incarceration, and the free labour overwhelmingly black prisoners have to do and it’s nauseating resemblance to slavery
