HINTS FOR NEXT TIME: Good job getting this far! The area of Ganon's Tower you're currently up against is called "the gauntlet," for obvious reasons. With enemy locations randomized, there's only so much I can give you as far as specific help, but: * There are three boss fights ahead of you: one in a desert arena, another in an arena you can get knocked off of (you usually fight Moldorm there), and then the second Agahnim fight. The Aga fight will always be Aga, the other two are randomized. The Moldorm 2 arena is likely to be a pain because it is very small, not much room to maneuver. * You will reach a room with an invisible floor. Remember that you can use the Ether medallion (the one with the lightning bolt) to temporarily reveal the floor. * You will reach a room with two treasure chests. You will need to kill one of the enemies in that room for a small key. * After defeating Aga 2 you will open up the Ganon fight. If you've watched Coy's "How To: Silverless Ganon for New Players" you already know what you need to do there. The one thing he doesn't really touch on in that video is called "torch glitch." After the left-hand side of the floor in the Ganon arena falls down, the two torches at the bottom go out. If you position yourself by the bottom left torch and spam the lamp just as the last floor tile falls, you can re-light the left lamp before the right lamp goes out. If you do, the right lamp will never go out and you'll only ever need to re-light the left one. This will save you some magic and time and make that final silverless phase of the fight a little easier. Thanks for the shout-out, and I'm glad these tips have been helpful! I believe in you!

So Oracle of Seasons for GBC and Link to the Past (plus Four Swords) for GBA were my only Zelda games when I was a kid, and I played the hell out of them even though I never beat either of them. As an adult these were the only Zelda games I even emulated. But last year I got myself a switch lite and I’m now playing Breath of the Wild, without any experience of the games that came between LttP and BotW. And it’s amazing how many little things still sync up in these two very different Zelda games to the point that I feel nostalgia for LttP while I’m zooming up waterfalls in my Zora armor.

It sucks that the bug net was never found. Respawning with some bottled fairies could've made the tower a little less annoying. You've been doing great without it though, good luck on the final stretch!

This series inspired me to do a randomized run of my own, but a bunch of progress items ended up sort of soft-locked behind each other. I think it's technically doable, but beyond me. It's gives a really huge appreciation for what Griffin has done here. [My seed would've been impossible with OHKO, though, since there was a Trap in an early spot you just had to take the hit and run through]

If you get stuck like that in a seed, I suggest posting it on the official ALTTPR subreddit (r/alttpr) or the official ALTTPR Discord server. There are plenty of friendly folks on both who will be happy to help you figure it out. Don't worry about looking silly, all of us have our story of that first "unbeatable" seed that actually was totally beatable if we'd just known that one weird trick.

@@benc.5558 For me, the major issue is that I'm not skilled enough in remembering dark rooms without the lamp. I looked at spoilers and know where I can get it, but I need to get through dark rooms to get the thing I need to get to the lamp.

@@mpbx3003 unless you specifically set up the settings to allow it, by default it will never lock the lamp behind a dark room, except in one very specific circumstance. If the dark room has a lightable torch, it may require you to use the fire rod instead of the lantern to navigate the dark room.

@@benc.5558 It could be that. I'm not familiar enough with the rooms to know them all. It's not really locked, either. It's a web of different items-Need the lamp to get the book to get the hookshot to get something else to get to the lamp-that's difficult to do with my current ability/knowledge. I can see the logic not necessarily catching something like that, too. I'll probably end up starting over anyway, just to play around and get more experience.

@@mpbx3003 If you do start over, try selecting the Basic item placement option (enabled be default in the Beginner preset). That will prevent the fire rod being necessary for dark rooms and eliminate a few other gotchas like that. Good luck!

The death at 56:35 is probably the most painful one of the entire show so far. That one was rough to see. Especially after him making the comment about being methodical. Also, Griffin if you’re reading this, In regards to the song you sang about dying too much. You really don’t need to feel that way, we’re bot gonna abandon you over something like that. More deaths just means more content. We just want to be entertained by your charming personality. Silverless Ganon is not TOO hard to learn to do hitless, the problem is gonna be getting to the final phase with any sort of consistency. That'll make learning the timing quite hard because there might very well be several minutes of phases 1-3 between every phase 4 attempt.
