Super late to this, but the elves in the Divinity games are these sort of creepy long, sharp limbed people who also can experience people's memories by eating their flesh. And they become trees when they get old and die. Not like regular trees but like still living trees, kinda like Speaker for the Dead.

Can't be a disappointment if nobody knows about it. This looks like the most generically bland jrpg clone I've ever seen. Its like it has a superpower to make me forget it immediately after seeing it like the silence from Doctor Who. Same as Black Desert Online and Dragons Dogma. At least FF has name recognition to lean on even if it's just a photocopied version of itself hundred times.
