A robust character creator + cool character-action gameplay with an apparent depth of mechanics out the gate, then a waiting game to see how many of the wide net of players you brought in with those first two selling points are whales who are psychologically incapable of dropping the game when it would otherwise have become clear that only the bare-minimum effort has been put in to keep stringing their attention along.

If they came from a AAA developer, they would have been forced to stop experimenting with new mechanics because they have to get the game out by it's release date under CRUNCH. Games made by total nobodies have no hype release dates, so they can afford to screw around and release it when they're done with it

I haven't seen anybody else comment on this, but when the horse started attacking the grizzly bear by just leaping into the air and landing on it repeatedly had me absolutely dying. The fact that the brothers barely even acknowledged it and even turned away to move on to something else somehow made it even funnier. I had to pause the video so I could breathe.

Heyhey, if you haven't found the option already, just letting you know that there's an option to modify your pets' colors and proportions (pet menu > appearance) to a similar degree as your player character. Alongside being able to put other creatures' parts on them through devouring, I've made quite a few monstrosities myself :)
