A lot of guest stars on McElroy podcasts have been very talented, hilarious people. But Aabria might be the first ever where I thought she could do this every week and make it even better. She absolutely killed this series, took their energy, filtered it through her own, and I’m subscribed to everything she does from now on.

I absolutely love that every time Merle has been confronted with the option to change his past or fix his mistakes, he remained steady in his belief that there's no point in regrets, there is only the now, and all you can do is learn from the past and try to be better. I love that Merle's whole character from the beginning was a Cleric with shaken faith who felt lost and hadn't really found his calling, and many times through the original campaign circumstances caused Merle to question that faith even more, but his belief in love for his friends and even for his enemies was stalwart throughout, and he proved that he was following his own philosophy of learning from your mistakes and being better, and now, he doesn't even hesitate to say his kids are the thing he loves most (1:08:51), and that he loves his friends and has found contentment in his life and faith. Such wonderful character growth from Merle, we love to see it!! Clint has such a strong grasp on his character's motivations and plays him so well! (1:13:17)

Something about Taako's ending especially really moved me. Someone who fronts being so self-focused but is so deeply loving when it counts, having new challenges to chase but also a loving partner (and sister and his friends for life and even his thing with Lucretia seems to be patched up) to come home to at the end of the day, when he once thought nowhere but the Bureau would want him and his best days were behind him.

Hearing Davenport's biggest regret legitimately made me cry. This is something I've believed about him for so long, and I never imagined Griffin would say it ;__; Lucretia is my other favorite character, and it's so heartbreaking thinking about how much suffering she and Dav went through. Everything after cycle 92 and during the wars especially was probably just so awful for and between them. It's nice to see him start to process and heal, and I'm glad facing what could have been if he'd made different choices at the end of the century is part of it.. Everything about him during this arc has just felt so right, I feel lucky, it's so surreal. Thank you for putting so much love into him, thank you thank you.

I love the style of Aabria's DMing (and I'm glad she's showing up all over the place, to be honest), and this little story felt like a great way to spend a little time with Balance again without it feeling quite so much like a cover band. Yeah, me too, honestly. I ligitimately went "THE FUCK?" when I saw the view counter. Legitimately would never have picked up the game if it wasn't for them. I didn't mean it like "EVERYONE WHO HAS OTHER STUFF TO DO INSTEAD OF WATCHING A MINI SERIES CONTINUATION OF A DUM DUM PODCAST IS WRONG AND I HATE THEM" it's just the lack of an algorithmic boom in views and attention that I think the series deserves. When I commented this, it was at 20k views witch is a lot for a video of a grandmother's birthday uploades by his friens Franklin who owns a hardware store and didn't really care if the video did well or not, but for a produced continuation to what was once a really big fandom made by a ton of people who live off internet clicks?
