I studied this concept two days in a row and still could not understand it at all. There were no good explanations anywhere, I tried several other youtube videos which were no help for me. They always over-complicated the subject. I even went over it several times with my teacher. But this video was the only thing that helped! @@jesusice601 That's an incredible breakdown rate! My main advice is to forget the conditions and just graph each individual line. Then bring in the conditions to grab just the parts of the graph you are interested in. Have you used Desmos before? That's an incredible tool for working with graphs. If the breakdown rate doesn't lessen, you may want to get that checked out. 😉 Hang in there!

Am having a trouble deciding. Two functions in my assignment x>2 meaning 2 is excluded and x>/2 meaning 2 included, both are at same point. Do I make that point a solid circle 🔴 or empty circle ⭕️?

So it's saying that when x is negative use -x + 1 to get a value. If there aren't any other pieces, then the function would be undefined for x >= 0. I hope that helps! Thanks for asking! :-)

Why are you using 2 as x? For example, can’t you use 1 for the first equation?

Because 2 is the change-over from using one expression to the other, so that's where things are interesting. You certainly could use 1 in the first equation. I hope that helps! Keep after it! 👍
