I took the time to test Moro07 and it is great bike. I spent a few hours on the bike to realise the difference between a good bike and an affordable. Yamaha Moro 07 I’d just streets ahead of the other bike I looked at and for the price I paid it was a no brainer. I have taken the bike to bits and lubricated all three moving parts ( out the factory it’s dry) removed all the cables and re routed them, ( the motor harness and speed sensor harness is too long and this was interfering with the dropper post operation. I have also changed to run a 29er up front and I honestly say I night and day difference in the ride handling and the speed it carries is incredible. The balance and the weight shift to the back of the bike just makes it feel so agile. Down side of this bike ( for me battery size and weight) 500 watts and4.8 kg. For the battery so to carry a second in a back pack is difficult for long days out. I managed to 68 miles on one battery I’m 69kg fully loaded with kit. My girlfriend has the same bike as well and uses every day for work and leisure activities at the weekend she has clocked up 750+miles in just a few months and the only maintenance is chain cleaning and lubricants. As far as I know they have sold out of the bikes in the uk for a few months but that might’ve changed since but if you are near a Yamaha bike dealer / showroom and you want to get an e-bike get down there and get a test ride on one,

We’re not big fans of ebike hardtails for proper mountain biking. They’re fine for fire roads and dirt tracks, but too cumbersome and uncomfortable on anything more serious. Decathlon actually has a cheaper version of the E-Expl for around £2.5k which looks decent.

I actually agree with not using a emtb hardtail for anything but fire roads and light trails/dirt tracks. Borrrowed a Trek powerfly HT for a week and it was aweful on normal trails, too heavy at the rear end to be able to control over certain terrain, uncomfortable is an understatement! Long dirt trails and fire roads though were great!

zero reason to ride a hardtail in 2024 1) just get lockable fork and shock and it's perfectly fine, I did 87km 1252m D+ (54miles 4100ft not my record btw) on a fully suspended muscular mtb and I'm 220lbs most of those ascents are 8% to 20% slopes that's Tour de France mountain pass hard lock isn't 100% firm but less than a pinky finger thickness of pumping isn't really noticeable with slow rebound 2) hardtail does not work on emtbs at all you must use different sitting arms body positions as your no1 goal is to push the rear wheel as much as possible against the ground and having a suspended rear is mandatory for that, I rented 2 hardtails the last 3 years and they do not work your rear wheel slips and you end up pushing a very heavy bike up, the only reason they still exist is to cut cost nothing else, find a how to ride emtb tutorial and it'll become clear why hardtail emtb make no sense, I watched one before renting the last fully suspended emtb and did 5813ft 1772m ascent easy most of it in ECO mode actually, it started freezing (2277m 7470ft summit) so I cut short but had 25% battery left because I didn't waste it doing burnouts like on the hardtails

@EmotoOregon All true, but this was an educational video. My KZbin Channel shows my bikes and plenty of rides, they work well and my old knees are happier too! I just passed 1650 km on the new Cannondale, 25,000 on the Milwaukee, no problems and its very hilly in this area of Spain.

totally illegal and if your battery burns and causes harm you'll go to jail congrats
@bobmajew53Ай бұрын
@@fredEVOIX if you buy a cheap ass battery you get what you get. There's nothing wrong with Panasonic or Samsung batteries and they're probably the same ones in the high-priced spread. I will grant you not everyone is smart enough to build their own e-bike.

I wouldn't even spend 3K on a motorbike getting blasted by 40 MPH winds at 70 MPH is cool but not 40 MPH winds at top speed 15 MPH in the freezing winter 🤣🤣 and they pick the best bike as the one that broke

This crap is killing the sport, it’s all about how much your bike costs and I fucking hate electric bikes , if you can’t peddle up the hill you shouldn’t be allowed to roll down it
