Well done for bringing out a review on well specced, full suss e-mtb’s which ordinary people can actually afford. The great thing about all of these bikes is the fact that they can all be upgraded with a better component set, at the discretion of the end user. Got to tip my hat off to Decathlon bringing to market a full phat, e-MTB for £3k or less.

Great video. Now please do a round up of emtb hardtails that are under 2500. Radon, Cube, Ghost, canyon, mondraker. They all have great e hardtails but nobody does reviews on them
@MBRmagazine10 сағат бұрын
We’re not big fans of ebike hardtails for proper mountain biking. They’re fine for fire roads and dirt tracks, but too cumbersome and uncomfortable on anything more serious. Decathlon actually has a cheaper version of the E-Expl for around £2.5k which looks decent.

There needs to be more videos like this. It just opens the door to most people who are considering getting an ebke. I would love to see a round-up of the entry level bikes
@flippy6613 сағат бұрын
The fact that £4,000 is entry level for electric bicycles is ridiculous. It's the reason I bought a motorcycle instead of an ebike, way more for the money. They are also only discussing RRP, you can get most ebikes for way less than RRP because they start overpriced.

Good stuff guys! My critique of all of your reviews would be to always mention if a bike doesn't have headset cable routing and highlight that as a huge feature and vice versa to bikes that have it and loudly call them out for it.... the larger MTB media like yourselves needs to help get the message out to the incompetent frame designers out there so this ridiculous kool fad disappears on their next frame release. We consumers can speak with our wallet to drive it home.
@MBRmagazineКүн бұрын
Good point! We also hate headset routed cables. Fortunately only the Giant has them in this test. 👍

No. Bosch only sells you marketing and its brand name, not quality products. The battery’s are the worst and degrade a-lot and its extremely expensive to replace since they only allow there own batteries.

I also out a DD casing on the rear cause it came with exo casing tires..... but i got mine as a leftover xxl frame right before they updated the bike for $2300. Amazing value for what you get

450watt*(60s/min)*(1rev/(2*pi rad)/(60nm) = 71.6rpm The fazua becomes power limited in boost setting at 71.6rpm The Bosch is at 104rpm, but it makes more torque than the other motors 78.13rpm If you are above 78.13rpm the Bosch will always make more torque than the other motors including the fazua in boost

As a 6'7" rider, would you recommend the XXL frame Capra in an MX or 29? Does the "playfulness" of the MX still translate to an XXL size frame? My current bike is an XXL 29" HT, my previous bike was an XL 27.5 HT. Not looking to do anything extreme, but i want to ride a little more aggressive and take all of the side hits I dodge on my hardtails. Thank you.

👍All my five Emtb's has now 170mm Öhlin 36, Fox Factory 36, Rockshox Ultimata 35 forks, they had 140mm - 160mm before. The rear damper has I change from 210x55 to 216x63mm och change the flip-chip. All bikes hav strait through XTR groups wit chort gage and 10-45T casset, 200mm rotors with 4-piston brakes on my havier bikes and 2-piston brakes on my three real light weight Emtb. The all have the same geometry, same XTR clip pedals, same seat, same Newman 750mm handlebars. I bough five range extender that I never use, only one extra 500wh battery fore my first bike. These bikes are so light weight witch no trimbox needed and you often cycling with the bike on the off position (what you don't with a havier Emtb do), that makes you to cycling against the battery range and get fit instead of high speed and get stressed. There is no point to weigh these bikes, just love how easy they are to handle fore a 59 year old guy like my❤️😁

Five e-bikes? Fair play! 🫡

👍One "trick" that's works is to rebuild a Fox 36 fork from 150mm to 170mm by change the Air Shaft and try to find a damper 216x63mm (that not is easy to find), instead of the orginal 210x55 damper. Then you have a Enduro instead of a Trail bike, without a massiv over weight😋

That's a neat hack I'll use this as a last resort when I attempt changing my own tyres next! One thing I will mention from my research, is don't necessarily expect the tyres to hold pressure well without sealant in there yet, because without it, not all rim and tyre combos seal perfectly together. If the tyre looks to be evenly seated all round, that's a good enough sign for me 😊
