I hope this conversation is shared with everyone our age. many, many were subjected to corporal punishment and most don't realize where it came from or how it impacts who you are and your relationships.

A very powerful discussion spoken by 2 intense men in a very calm soft spoken way. These Sunday morning discussions have been so insightful and life changing. We are all learning and we are not alone. Thank you, Mr. Benard for this gift of help and insight

This conversation was smooth sailing. Both your voices are so calming and it's so nice because every Sunday I learn new things on all aspects of LIFE not only on mental health. Every one's back stories on life, love, health, success, hardships, trails, failures etc.... SO GREAT Maurice! Love from Montreal.💝

Same here. My dad was like that . We only connected when my son was diagnosed with Schizophrenia because his big sister had it also. He became very empathetic. It's weird how my sons illness brought us together 3 years before he died. Please keep my son Mark in your prayers.🙏. He always stopped his meds so he's now getting a shot and that he is court ordered to take. This was our last option/ hope. I an also his Legal Guardian. He 37. That makes it so hard on our mother/son relationship. I'm 61. I've got everything complete taken care of in his life so when I pass on I know he will be taken care of. Like being on disability etc. .. God bless you all.🙏 Maurice thank you so much for all you do. It's such a great help and it gives me hope for my son. Xoxo

Good conversation 🤗 Your body holds 'trauma' until it's ready to let go! Glad he/his body did so in a way for which he's alive to speak on it. People who survive childhood trauma and suffer from triggers that aren't often recognized until its too late. Living mindfully, helps one to live from a place of gratitude for all the experiences that helped form them. Thanks Maurice for another awesome SOM talk! 💗

Oh my goodness, thanks for another fantastic conversation. ❤They never cease to amaze me, and makes Sunday’s the best day of the week. ❤Puts a big smile on my face. 😁This one brought back memories from way back in the day when I would watch my dad spank my only sister with a belt. I was shocked. For goodness sake, it never happened to me. I was the “good girl” lol. But it was all good, a week before he passed he took my sister and I into a room and asked for forgiveness for being too strict in our younger years. At that time we didn’t know he was nearing the end of his life…
