There's an easy solution to the roulette deck imbalance, On the Yugioh Masterduel wiki they have already sorted all the secret packs by "Power" tiers, Just make separate wheels for each tier and then pick which tier wheel to use each episode, Reall easy and makes the duels more fair but still funny.

The Blackwings pack is really solid, idk why they were worried about pulling ultras when there's plenty of synchros at R. The entire Edison Blackwings core is available at SR or lower, really good for sealed play. Also I forgive Dzeef for not going for game a turn earlier, because he got to summon Obelisk.

You guys should change the format a bit. To try to make sure each game is playable but also interesting I think you should roll 4 packs, and then starting with who won last game you both ban 1 pack and then pick 1 pack. That way we get at least somewhat playable decks that aren't mirrors and winning means something but not everything.

Yes and those different decks are fundamentally unbalanced because the pools of cards are just better a lot of the time. Half the cards you pull aren’t gonna be from the secret pack and that allows for the same strategy with different tech cards depending on what you pulled and I think it rewards much more creative thinking to get an edge than the two sets do

I think you should be able to play the card you craft to unlock the secret pack. That way you don't have an episode 1 situation where all your pulls are invalidated because you didn't pull a crucial card (Winged Dragon of Ra).

Ally of justice good card is only catastor. If your playing gimmicks deck, this is the card to include in gimmicks deck since it can out almost all monster. It also good boss monster for gimmicks deck, but need have significant amount good equip card to make it work such as power guardian and etc.

Maybe you could separate the packs into a few tiers and have both players randomly pick one from the same tier each week. That way you could have pretty balanced matches without having to play mirrors.

I think you should both consider having a collective pack and a different pack each (10 of each or whatever makes sense to you). That way you might get the best of both worlds, since having the same pack is problematic and having different packs is problematic too.
