I am a devout follower of Abyss Actor and as such, try my best to make them good. I won three locals recently (over the past 6 weeks) and have beaten the likes of SPYRAL and guru control. People really dislike fantastic theatre and hate recovering from RotAK due to it being impossible to respond to nearly every time (Superstar is stupid easy to summon out) gotta give credit to my Edgy Actors

I think MBT jumped the gun with that a bit now. It's topped a YCS, but no-one knows whether that will translate into it becoming meta; especially since a lot of it falls down to people not expecting it to go into Appollusa, which isn't going to work if it becomes more popular.

@@clayxros576 Bad news that Seyfert arrived then left the meta? It mainly did so because of Duel Overload links didn't exist at the time of this video. As for the variant in this video, if I remember rightly Thunder Dragon Seyfert was only a around for a brief time until Colossus got banned, so we don't know what would have happened to it.

@@clayxros576 Yes, that's true. But a large part of the rise of Dragon Link is due to the DUOV links Halquifibrax, Linkross, and Unions Carrier, which didn't exist at the time of this video; and Dragon Link kind of fell out of the meta when Destruction Sword and Linkross got banned last banlist.

Playing this deck as a primarily going first variant is pretty good too. Popping the wild hope with electrumite (or other ways) and nabbing a superstar is nice to enable an absolute-vortex play with the destrudo or arkbrave during the guardragon combo.

This is a different take on the deck than mine. My build focuses on triggering the scripts’ popped effects (draw 5, search 2, special summon as many monsters from deck as possible), since they’re insanely powerful. This is done with comic reliefs monster effect and the field spell, i even run creature swap to trigger comic. I’ve had some moderate success, winning most games where i don’t outright die t1 (which is hard, considering all i’ve got for defense is a wall of actors). The mythical beast engine seems like it can provide some much needed disruption, so i’ll try it out. Overall i really love this deck, and the director is everything i could’ve ever asked for

Do you test on DB?if not, try it. Most people there play meta so you would be able to test it against meta unlike most of the time on ygpro. Posdata play matches not singles.

I don’t really play abyss actors with the intent of finding a competitive deck or whatever, i am well aware that it isn’t... i merely saw mbt having a different take, and thought i’d share mine.

Dr. Paradox it is still a work in progress, so i’m changing it up quite often, but this is where i’m at right now: Monsters: 3 Master cerberus 2 Superstar 3 Mellow Madonna (considering cutting the third one for something else) 3 Jackal King (can be summoned off of hyper directors eff, so it really isn’t a brick) 3 Sassy Rookie 3 Wild Hope 3 Curtain Raiser 3 Comic relief 3 Extras Spells: 3 Abyss king 2 Opening ceremony 3 Creature swap 1 Terraforming 2 Abysstainment 3 Playhouse Extra: 1 Electrumite 3 Hyper director And a bunch of random links and xyz’s that i never make

I was testing @ignister with the new cyberse support and I managed to beat him 2-0, I only saved the replay of the 2nd game but I can't really say that he was a good thunder dragon player esepcially one that doesn't negate Pikari allowing me to fuse away his Apollousa. But I really recommend running Dark Ruler no more for opponents like Thunder Dragon, such a good card to take down those big combo decks. But you really put up a good shot against the thunder dragon deck I probably wouldn't have beaten that thunder dragon player with my @ignister deck.

Yo, take a look at pure builds. I play this against decently string decks and can most duels start with electrum and 4 actors on field, and take a look at the scripts, there's alot more you can do when you think about other combo types

Upon second viewing I really don't think a deck theme suits MBT better than Abyss Actors. A bunch of subpar actors trying to make themselves stand out via lackluster gimmick. Still love MBT, Yami bless.

For a more successful blind second version I feel the fieldspell doesnt quite do that much, probably even could run stuff like Cherries since you barely need any Extra Deck
